Great book and I love the way it simplifies the concepts. It also gives you some exam tips which I found very helpful. Bottom line, I passed my exam at the first attempt and this material really helped. It also has access to some exam questions which I found exceedingly helpful. Warning, like everyone said, it is not an interesting read (unlike security+) but that's audit for you. In conclusion, I highly recommend this book!!

This a great book for CISA study and the online test bank is super helpful. There are not a lot of options when it comes to choosing CISA study material. A book, like this one with everything you need, is important. I found this book was well written and comprehensive. It is a great addition to any study regimen.

First off, it worked. I passed the test on the first try. That being said, I've been doing this for 30 years, but I did fail 2 pretests before reading this. All the key concepts are covered, but OH DEAR IS IT DRY and redundant, which is not the author's fault. Some of the sections are, in fact, redundant, because of the standard, so you WILL be able to skim when you notice it starts getting painful. The book seems intimidating, but half of it is not test material. If you follow standard textbook study practices with this book I don't see how you can't pass on the first try. It's just brutally, malignantly boring subject matter, which, again, is not the author's fault, and he does a good job collecting and presenting it in a way conducive to learning. I read it while walking on a treadmill. The entire testable section took me 6 hours to get through, or 18 miles. Would recommend, would buy again if I ever needed to, and most importantly, it *is* a useful desk reference for the material.

Good book gets to the point with no fluff or extraneous information.

Mr. Gregory’s years of industry experience bring the knowledge required to pass the CISA Exam and the practical application of these concepts together in an easy to read, easy to study, and easy to reference guide. Beyond passing the exam, this book is a definitive guide that’s sure to remain handy to an Information Systems Auditor thorough their career.

This book is based on the old exam which was phased out in August 2024.

This book is too comprehensive for the exam but too broad for professional reference. In short, it tries to achieve two incompatible at the same time and failed at both. By all means this is still a decent book to read through but I would just do the questions at the end of each chapter and look at the explanation. I took and passed CISA this Monday and studied for about a week.

The book and content are great. The book pages have some strange spots in them, on every other page or so. I've never seen anything like it and it's a bit distracting. Other than that, highly recommended.

Excellent CISA exam study guide. The reading material is consise and explains all relevant concepts. I read the book end to end. The appendix takes you through a real life audit process and ties the concepts with the CISA five domains. The book may be a bit dry but the key is to understand the crucial concepts. Also included are test questions and an online bank of mock exam questions graded to the CISA standard. I passed my CISA exam on the first attempt, thanks to this book and also Hermang Doshi's online CISA exam study guide. Well worth the purchase and to be kept as a desk side reference tool.
