but pretty slow. With the advent of 4K streaming
I've been looking for a simple plug-and-play PowerLine product that would give me increase speeds over the older D-Link 309AV units I've been using for a number of years. Those D-Link's have been reliable, but pretty slow. With the advent of 4K streaming, I found I have an increased need for speed. I tried a number of different, more expensive products, including ones from D-Link and Linksys. Too many bells and whistles, and I passed on a few others that required encryption. The more expensive D-Link and Linksys products provided faster speeds. But they were also unreliable, constantly dropping signals. I had read reviews remarking on these phenomenon, but decided to take a chance. Wrong. Here's a hint to the network engineers who are tasked with monitoring Amazon reviews and responding to negative ones. Don't insult the intelligence of people who have a significant amount of real-world experience using your products by telling them that the power saving mode "can't" be responsible for dropping the signals on an hourly basis. You are testing in a laboratory likely with direct connected devices. Try it in a 50-year-old house, between floors. That's your market, make sure your product works in it.As for this product, it works perfectly for me. I've more than doubled my speeds, and I have yet to have a drop in three days. When I first got them, they all connected within 30 seconds of being plugged in (five of them). I turned three TVs on, and started running shows from Watch ESPN, Netflix and Amazon. I left them on for two hours. Not a blip. Couldn't be happier with the products, would recommend them highly.

Bought 2 Brite-View LinkE Mini 500Mbps Powerline Ethernet systems! - Easy Setup / Easy Use / No Issues - An excellent buy!
Bought 2! These Brite-View LinkE Mini 500 Mbps powerline ethernet boxes work like a champ! Both connected to their respective pairs just like they were supposed to - without any manual pairing being needed. And they're passing data with no problems. I used one pair to move my wifi router up to my main level from the basement where my cable modem and VOIP phone router are, to give me a better wifi signal across all three levels of the house (basement and two levels above it. I used the other one for a connection to my top floor office with two printers, two computers and a gigabit Ethernet switch to connect them all. Easy setup / easy use with excellent throughput - - what more could I ask for? Make sure if you use a different Ethernet cable than comes in the box (it comes with 2 short Cat6 cables), that you use either a Cat5e or Cat6 cable with the Brite-View (if you need to use a longer cable than comes with it) because earlier generation Ethernet cables (Cat 3 or Cat4 or Cat5 without the e) don't have gigabit Ethernet capacity to use the capabilities of the Brite-View Mini 500 Mbps box.

POWERLINE ADAPTER>WIFI REPEATER
I used this as a replacement for a repeater in order to get a more reliable connection, this item has done exactly that. I recently moved and my router had to be set up downstairs while my room is upstairs and pretty far, this powerline adapter has done wonders to my connection keeping it at a strong and reliable 90mbps. All I had to do was connect the first box to an outlet and connect the ethernet to the router, then I went upstairs and connected the second box (or adapter) to an outlet in my room (I used my own CAT6 Ethernet cable because the ones included are rather short) and directly to my computer and whala! My computer is now hitting speeds I never hit with WiFi alone and the connection is much more stable, I can now stream, play video games, and work on my college homework knowing my connection is stable.P.S. I have Spectrum 200mbps

I have tried several Powerline networking adapters, and this ...
I have tried several Powerline networking adapters, and this one was very similar. The connection isn't strong enough. Yes, it is one the same circuit system, no it is not plugged into a surge protector. I missed the return policy so this will join the others in storage.

Easy to use, unbeatable price and good quality ... and mission accomplished
This kind of powerline adapter usually costs a lot more than this one. I was skeptical to order but decided to take the risk after reading some good reviews. In my scenario, I need to extend my AT&T uverse router to my local network switch. My router sits on a shelf that i wasn't allowed to run any ethernet cable. So, this adapter allows me to connect the AT&T router to my other local network switch via power line. It works like a charm without any configuration. You do need to do some configuration if you want to have secured/encrypted transmission over the power line.

Excellent product. Easy set up. Works connected to router (slave) with static IP set up
Great deal. Works great.I am using this connected to an ASUS router and have reliable wifi. Worked great with just network cable as well.It is easy to set up and paired automatically unless you wanted the built in encryption which I found unnecessary since the network had it.My speeds aren't great but connection is reliable. Around 10-12mbs/sec

Shorts Out My Computers
Easy, great concept, but not reliable. I have had 3 of these and they work but for WI-FI, it may be better to pay more for another product. AT&T uses this product and I figured it was my only option when I had to replace the one. I frequently have to unplug / re-plug and it's frustrating. Wish I had done more research. UPDATE, 11/12/20: I MOVED THIS TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION AND FIND THAT IT DOESN'T SHORT OUT NEARLY AS MUCH. STILL DOES BUT IF YOU HAVE NO CHOICE, THIS WORKS.
