Glove Wrap Deluxe

Just bought a new glove to replace my old one for softball/baseball for use with my kids between their team practices/games. I opted for a more expensive glove this time around and didn’t want to use steam, hot water, etc to break it in - the leather is too good to ruin with those methods so I’m doing it the ol fashion way...using it and wrapping with a ball in the pocket when not in use. I found these glove wraps at a good price and gave them a try - they are much sturdier material than I thought they’d be and the Velcro secured them really nicely. They are of course really easy to use. They come with a super-sturdy whiffle ball to store in the pocket but we’re just going to use our own anyway. I now have two, one for my glove (Wilson A2000) and my wife’s (Mizuno MVP Prime SE)- the kids can buy their own ;)

I use this to perfectly shape my baseball and softball gloves and they work so well I bought a 2nd one so I can leave both of my gloves wrapped in them year-round. With some good glove oil and proper placement of the plastic ball your gloves will stay in the perfect shape. So much better than a rubber band which will stretch out and rot after time. I coach little league and encourage my players to use them as most people just throw their gloves down and they go flat or get pressed flat in a bag and the pocket is not in the right place. I also like the bright green option as they are easy to find if you take them off and have them in your baseball bag.

Not quite as luxurious and protective a wrap as the Markwort due to use of plain elastic nylon vs neoprene, but costs less & still works great. I love the fact the band is split into two parts, allowing it to break around the bend of the back of the glove better. Prefer Markwort’s neoprene material and attached ball compartment, but the Hot Glove wrap is a less expensive solution that works just as well for initial break-in.

Buy it. It works, it is well made.

I found these wraps are the best value. Wrapping helps keep the glove protected when stored in a bag and helps keep the pocket formed. The split wrap design of the Hot Glove helps form a better pocket than the other popular option (Markwort Glove Locker). The Hot Glove wrap also works for a softball, while the Markwort pocket only holds a baseball and I found the Markwort to be too small to easily wrap a softball glove with a ball in the pocket. I have purchased numerous of both and I'd recommend the Hot Glove over the Glove Locker for sure.

Just as advertised. When I recently bought a baseball glove, this was one of the items that was suggested as an accompanying purchase. For years ever since I was a kid I treated my baseball glove with Neatsfoot Oil and wrapped it in a towel strip very tightly with a baseball within to retain its shape. I never imagined that there was a commercial equivalent to my care method. I bought this with some skepticism. Now I use it regularly. It is very strong. It has a long sturdy Velcro strip to hold this elastic wrap and glove in shape. It even comes with a surrogate plastic baseball to hold within the mitt to ensure shape retention. It is a great product. I won't say it is better than my towel strip method, but it is certainly more convenient. Neither my Mom years ago, nor my wife now truly appreciate my shredding towels nor the true art of caring for a good baseball glove.

The product works as described. The material seems good as a friend of my has one for a while now and it still works. It’s new so I will have to wait to personally evaluate the durability.

Excellent glove wrap. I like how you can make it as tight or loose as you want. Other products are just one piece and never fit how you want.

Awesome product and works great so far. Fits well over my 14” glove with the ball inside and have had zero issues. Really helpful when trying to break in a new glove.
