Self-Care Cards Cards – October 1, 2001

Have been using Cheryl Richardsons Grace Cards for some time and several different ways. This was my first set of SELF-CARE CARDS. And am liking them as well. With Grace Cards my set had me pulling a card for inspiration / encouragement a couple times a week. I then started using the Grace cards in one of the ways that Cheryl suggests: when sending a note or greeting card in the mail, I ask for a word for the particular person and pull a card. It is amazing that I hear back from ther person receiving the mail noting how spot on perfect the "grace card" was for the day and what was happening in the person's life. I also do intuitive tarot and other oracle readings... I have for some time made it practice to have the client draw and "word gift" to take with them at the end of the reading session. I always also direct clients and friends to Cheryl's website which gives one an opportunityto use the Grace Cards electronically. I have found Amazon a great way to get extra sets for my purposes and to get them at discounted prices. I am adding the sets of Self-Care Cards to my "Word Gift" basket to share with clients. My only sadness in the purchase of a gently used set was that the seller had received them as a gift from her mother (as noted by the handwritten inscription on the inside cover of the box). The Self-Care Cards by Cheryl Richardson are a great find! Each is very colorful and provides a timely message/affirmation to help get through the day's challenges. Use of the cards provides a targeted focus on our own well-being, something we sometimes find difficult to address or do not give any time.I pull a card as that last task in the evening with the focus and intention of asking "what will my self-care focus be for the next day" - I can journal the topic and the message, how it feels, and how I choose to implement it into the next day.For instance, "Playfulness" depicts a child sleeping and there is a lot of purple coloring on the picture representing this ideal. How do you learn about playfulness? - how can you incorporate more into your day? - why might you want to do so? As the card suggests, you can learn by watching or playing with a child about the uninhibited fun and laughter. Whether you play a game of tag or play on the jungle gym or fly a kite all lighten your attitude and bring an inner joy and exuberance to your day. They can teach us literally how to be a kid again and provide us with a vehicle to allow the inner light to shine through us.How will you choose to use them?

I have this card deck and thought my mom would like it to so bought it for her.She thinks the cards are beautiful and picks from the card deck everyday and does what she can to follow the message on it.September 25 2015My mom and I still are enjoying the card deck.My mom takes time to pick a card from the card deck here and there and puts it out in her room to look at for the day,as for me I use it as a regular card deck here and there.Recently I came across the card deck again for only a dollar at a Thrift Shop and bought it even though it seems that there is a card missing.Cheryl mentions on a card to let people pick a card from the card deck and keep it,put it in a bowel and pick a card,or include it in a greeting card to someone.And I decided to do just that.The card pictures aren't just beautiful but have one word on the cards and simply sayings on the back.A great card deck to use to put out for the day like my mom does.

LOVE This deck! It's my TOP oracle card deck that I use all the time when I do readings. And I have several...I give Cheryl's deck out as gifts, and have more than one on hand, and put them randomly into people's lives when they need it most.High Quality and Cheryl put so much thought and love into each word and message.Highly recommend this deck!

Gorgeous cards! Love the visuals and messages throughout. One side has a message from 'from spirit' and the other a beautiful image with single word of guidance or healing. I've been looking for something dually dynamic and calming to introduce to my readings and this is it! The artwork seems like it is a little disjointed sytle-wise on some cards which is why I rated only 4 stars, but other than this, exceptional and relatable

I love these cards I bought them for my daughter. Anything to help with self-esteem in the wisdom and I constantly share. These cards mimic everything The spirit would like everyone to know. The nudity does not bother me I think it is very elegant And thoroughly expressed the importance of self love. Those that are bothered by this need only look within and ask themselves why They feel so negative about it. Gorgeous deck will buy one for myself next

I live right on the beachfront and that's what drew me to these cards. I was pleased that many of them have an ocean/water/nature theme and remind me to appreciate this place. The messages are very positive and invoke reflection. I wish there wasn't writing on both sides of the cards so they could be spread out for a drawing. Size 3 3/4" wide X 5" tall X 3/4" thick. They're a little stiff to shuffle but can be mixed easily. Also don't need her website at the bottom of every card. I picked through these when I got them and kept every card that spoke to me and tossed a few I didn't like without guilt. I keep these in a green/blue bag my friend crocheted with a seashell on the front of course!

These cards are really cool. The one on the cover of the box is not a favorite, so give them a chance. They have a word on the front and a cool photo and they inspire you. Friends and I use them to pull out words that we need to work on and we clip them around and keep them around to remind ourselves to go in the direction of the word. If you are visual the image also takes you there which is so cool. I give these as gifts all the time because they're so unusual and have the best energy. It's a little box of love and care and they somehow just keep you centered. Love them.

Love these cards althou a bit hard to shuffle as large pictures beautiful friends love them 100/for me came on time .

This a lovely deck to use for journaling, meditation, soul searching and to compliment an card readings that use Oracle or tarot. Great to pick a card for the day and see how messages manifest.

Stunning imagery and profoundest words. What a lovely deck by a brilliant artist and writer.

Very easy to take the meaning of the card and apply it to my day. This is currently my go to deck for a card if the day first thing in the morning.
