Firstly, the unit comes without wiring instructions and the user manual is virtually unfathomable. The wiring harness does not accord with the universally accepted colour coding of connecting wires (harnesses). That said, when correctly wired, in most respects, the unit is functional, save for the fact on the supplied unit, operation of the reversing camera failed to trigger a response on the screen - the function remained dead! The unit takes forever and a day to boot up and cannot be turned off by using what should be the on - off button; the best you can do is mute the sound or turn it off at the ignition! The buttons are small and too close to the edges of the unit. There is very little space available in the existing radio opening and a design defect means the facia bezel cannot be attached, thus leaving an unsightly space at the bottom horizontal span. The camera problem was reported to the supplier but the response was, at best, lack lustre. Despite explaining the problem and exemplifying the fact the camera was working and functioned on an independent monitor (works in the “aux” setting) the supplier’s best effort (so far) has been to provide a camera/reversing light connection circuit, wiring diagram I have now requested a replacement unit but so far, I have not received a response (watch this space for an update). I still have time to return it and ultimately, that will be an option if I do not receive some more immediate assistance. If a new unit is installed, it should prove possible to provide an update on any customer service and/or functionality of the other features but presently, my advice is to select another brand. AN UPDATE:- the retailer sent a garbled email and enclosed a wiring diagram, which was as dysfunctional and inappropriate as the user manual; it did not correct the problem, which was eventually resolved using YouTube information. Everything now appears to work(ish) but frequently, the unit “locks up” and you cannot use the screen settings to exit the function; neither can you use the “mode” button to change to a different setting. The DVD function takes forever to access music tracks. All in all, the unit is an appalling piece of technology, matched by the lack of clear installation instructions and the retailer’s lack of concern. When the unit has been tested in full (navigation and ‘phone) if the “lock-up” allows, I will submit a further update on the remaining functionalityAfter a struggle with four different Amazon service advisors, the item was replace but alas, we have a further problem - the satnav takes about twenty minutes to locate the satellites.
