Yellow Mountain Imports Chinese Mahjong Scoring/Betting Sticks (Ivory) - Set of 120

I wish they were glossy fake bone but they are matt finished. I knew this when I bought them so I won’t mark them down. I am in the process of polishing them with 1200 grit sand paper but there’s a lot of them. All my dots so far have been painted well. Would buy again if needed.

Counting sticks were exactly as described.

I bought these to act as different denominations in my white Riichi set (to allow for a single 500 and a single 5,000 stick for each person in order to simplify point exchange). I don't like the dusty look of them, and despite trying to clean them with water, as another reviewer had said, they would still dry off to appear dusty.A great solution I found was to coat them in a tiny bit of vegetable oil, then wipe them off. The bones don't feel oily after this, and now fit in very nicely with my higher quality white set. They look like smooth black plastic now, as opposed to dusty grey.The reason this is not 5 stars is because I had to apply oil to them for them to meet my standards. Also, one of the eight sticks was missing some holes and some paint, so now I only have 7 which are useful to me and this is a nuisance.Overall, I say get two sets if you want to use these sticks primarily because there are significant flaws in some of them.A note about the picture: the ones on the left are before the oil, and the ones on the right are after.

Does not include the correct number of point sticks per denomination. I received the same number of sticks for each value, which wasn't enough 100s and far too many 10,000s.

Let's face it. These are simple plastic sticks with dots. Not much can go wrong, but sadly virtually all of the 9-dot sticks were bent slightly and several were almost broken in half. It looks as if the colored dots were 'drilled' a bit too deep for the stick's thickness. Alas, not the end of the world, but disappointing nonetheless.

I was a bit worried ordering black scoring sticks, as we have a lot of elderly folk in our mahjong club...thinking they would be hard to read the dot value. But, there is no problem, everyone loves them and can read the dots easily. They are not pure, hard black, quite silky to handle, and you get great value for your money.

Beautiful score sticks! Nice length and feel. - BUT! - They were very dusty.. Had to clean them off! And some of them had empty holes in them!! (Paint inside had begun to crumble.) I recommend you get these, but don't expect a flawless set! May need to replace after some months of playing.
