Well-made, attractive... I have mine located on a shelf in a bookcase facing a hall.... works like a champ!

If you are shooting INDOORS, this certainly is the one you need. Well made, heavy, and it sucks pellets up like a sponge without extra noise.The two bricks of putty will sink under their own weight making the top 2 inches or so not usable, so just be aware. Maybe you could buy extra putty to pack in there? The only negative thing I can say is that it was not shipped properly - it's HEAVY and broke thru the outer carton because there was hardly any packing material around the inner heavy box. If anything else had been in the box, it would have fallen out and been lost.I'm much more pleased with this than any metal trap I've ever used. There are no ricochets, and just a minor 'smack' impact noise. I think it's the safest of traps I've seen. I bought it with the metal plate as a safety backstop and feel comfortable with any of my air guns. I have no idea how it would be with rim fire ammo - I'd guess for .22 standard velocity at maybe 15 yards or more MIGHT be safe, but I'd be very careful there. Stick to air guns and you'll be OK I believe.

Well made, but it didnt come with any instructions on setup. Also, an adaptor would be a nice addition for the smaller pistol and 5 spot rifle targets.

I have retired to town and can no longer fire my firearms at will. Consequently, I have acquired a couple of airguns and this target allows me to target shoot in my basement. Mounted on the wall after covering the wall with 1/2" plywood to prevent damage due to "errant" pellets. the wood frame takes some damage from time to time, but that's to be expected. Would buy again if I needed a replacement.

If you order this with the putty be aware that it is HEAVY. Since I was unsure of how this would hold up, I purchased the option with the putty but it has not been used yet. The steel plate is thick and will flatten an air rifle pellet with ease. There is enough space within the trap that the pellets stay in the box and don't fall out. This has not been tested with anything other than an air rifle.I was worried that the target sheets wouldn't fit since the dimensions listed are inconsistent. The target sheets do slide in, but it is kind of a moot point if you are practicing for competitions. Since the target is not taut, there is some bowing of the paper. One solution is to slide in the target and then secure in place with scotch tape.We had to make a stand for this, so that it could be used for 3-position practice (may have to buy two more to simplify things). Even if you use this indoors, remember to use a backdrop because accidents can happen and you don't want to break a window or something. For sporter class air rifle, we use a large sheet of cardboard (local Lowe's or Home Depot).
