The fishing rod seems to be well made. We have taken it out and opened up the rod. I think a child can eventually use it by himself but there must be guidance at first. Our grandson is 4 years old, so he won't use it unsupervised for ite a while and he will need help putting it together. I must say though, he is thrilled with it.

Definitely worth the value, love how it comes in its own little bag, very organized, but also not heavy at all. Easy to grab and go fishing.Good for kids to use and came with a lot of accesories which is really nice and conveniant.

This is a great beginner fishing pole. My 4 year old grandson loves it. The case makes it easy to keep his gear together and he likes that he can carry it himself.

This fishing rod kit is amazing! It provides everything you would need to fish. It also comes with fishing line and lures so you are able to use it right out of the package. The reel works and looks just as my other more expensive reel. I caught many fish by this rod. I would definitely recommend to my friend.

Good beginner fishing rod for 3-8 years old in my opinion. Has all the equipment you need minus bait. It isn’t flimsy, holds well. Used it a few times at the river haven’t caught anything yet, but we are still working on how to cast. It’s light enough and easy to use.
