This certain product allows for more things than the toy con kit
This product is probably the best solution for switch vr, the toy con goggles have to be held up and are made out of cardboard which is obviously not too strong. This is made out of strong materials so it feels very sturdy and the straps on the back make the switch playable as an actual vr experience. It’s hard on the eyes but that’s not the headset’s fault, the switch just wasn’t meant for vr as the individual pixels are definitely noticeable. But the best thing about this particular product is the fact that you can play it without having your hands on your head, in botw (not sure about other games) if you connect your joycons to the switch you can enter vr mode and then connect another controller, it will try to boot you out but if you press the “close” button it will take you back to vr mode with your second controller as the dominant controller. Unfortunately if you accidentally press ANY buttons on the joy cons connected to the switch it will try to boot you out of vr mode again. If you do this. Connect up some headphones. And then sit down in a nice comfy place. You’ll have yourself a pretty immersive vr experience that you can’t as easily get with the official toy con vr kit. There were no major problems and I highly recommend this product

Do NOT buy this!
The nintendo switch is not designed for VR. It just doesn't work. The strap is quite bad, has a very hard time adjusting and staying put. Mine kept sliding and sagging, after trying to adjust it three times, I gave up. The viewing area is non adjustable, right away I noticed how blurry everything was. I know it's not my eyeballs, because I am wearing contacts. These lenses are out of focus and are the equivalent of using reading glasses. This VR headset is a really uncomfortable, awful experience. You would get a much better experience by just putting the switch closer to your face, which is really all this headset is doing, it's making the viewing area smaller (turns into a circle) and makes it blurrier, grainier and with no way to adjust the lenses, you are stuck with a worse viewing situation. Just stick with the tv, handheld mode, or buy one of those holders that can hold a switch/cellphone, because if you're going to just make the image closer to my face, I can think of several other items to purchase that do a better job than this thing.

Its Google Cardboard for the Switch
Boy the reviews of this thing are all over the map, but let me just inform you, I am no novice to VR having worked with multiple headsets with a range of people from barely able to use VR to their grandfather who barely gets the hang of it. The good part is that you don't have to build it yourself. I like the head straps compared to some other Cardboard options, the material its made of helps your skin breath and its specifically made for the switch as you can tell from all its cutouts for the air vents, speakers, USB port, volume and power buttons. I do think that the lenses are way too small, you can see the border that is supposed to be the area by which the lenses are supposed to be glued down at exposed making you think they are larger then they really are thus causing frustration when you actually look thru them. My main complaint is the size of the face mask itself, is huge and makes securing it to your head difficult because its not really using the contour of your head as a support which all other good headsets do. It also leads to a low comfort factor which I am surprised about these 5 star reviews saying it is very comfortable, it is not, tolerable at best. I also wear glasses which might make matters worst for some people (but really it isn't as bad as the one non commercial VR headset that literally pressed my lenses against my eyeballs). That may actually be a good thing because you really don't want to have any VR headset on you for too long. The lack of being able to adjust the interocular distance is a byproduct of the Google Cardboard initiative as most phone headsets, even Google's own Daydream Viewer don't have a way to adjust it. And that is basically what this is, Google Cardboard for the Nintendo Switch. So before you go shelling out the money for this headset take heed of the resolution limitation of the Switch, the limited compatible games for VR on the Switch, anyone with eye problems or anyone who had a bad experience with any of the Cardboard based VR systems. This is not for you. Also, the box says Upgraded Large Mirror, there is no mirror or need for one. If it meant lenses which would help more people with the I.D. issue, well, I don't know what the non upgraded version had so I can't tell you but they are not as large as the Daydream Viewer. Its a 3 star product for those who really don't want to take the time to build their own cardboard viewer and zero stars if you really need the I.D. adjusted.

Cost Efficient, Comfortable and High Quality (Detailed Review)
Want to play certain games in VR on your Nintendo Switch, but don't want to go through the trouble of putting together the Nintendo Labo VR? Look no further! While Nintendo's Labo VR is much more cost efficient than other VR headsets on the gaming market, OIVO's Labo VR headset is not only even more cost efficient, but is convieniently put together right out of the box. And unlike Nintendo's Labo VR, OIVO's Labo VR has a much needed headstrap! That way, you can rest your arms and even play some games with wireless controllers. Another plus to the OIVO Labo VR is that the headset itself is very lightweight, making it comfortable to use even during 1+ hours of gameplay. If you're worried about your Nintendo Switch falling out of the OIVO Labo VR headset when using wireless controllers, then don't worry at all. The Switch strap safely secures your Switch in the headset and will not fall out, but if you're still concerned for your Switch's safety, simply add a spare pair of Joy Cons to the sides of your Switch, although doing that may make the headset heavier. If you were hoping to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in VR with wireless controllers, sorry to say, but the game does not allow wireless controllers during gameplay. However, VR in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recommends to watch battles as opposed to playing them. Also, seeing some of the stages in VR is very cool and allows you to see more than you usually do during normal gameplay. Other games, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, look very beautiful in VR, and the 3D effect really shows its true capabilities in that particular game. That is my detailed review of the OIVO Labo VR for Nintendo Switch. So, is it worth buying? Absolutely! It works as intended and has many advantages over the Nintendo Labo VR. While there are not many Nintendo Switch hits that support the VR feature, I can guarantee there will be many great games in the future that will support VR, and I'll be using the OIVO Labo VR more and more in the future. You should consider doing the same!

Nice for the Price
If you're looking for a quick, cheap, VR thrill, this will do. I bought this to try with my Zelda. I knew not to expect much for the price. Actually, go in with no expectations. That's a good rule of thumb for anything gin life. Anyway, for the price, I'm cool with it. At least someone is trying to make a VR set for the Switch. It's not Oculus of course, but it's not meant to be. The thing to keep in mind, is that you can't adjust the distance the Switch screen is from your face. That means that depending on your face or vision, it may be a bit blurry. I sort of rigged it a little so it's farther from my eyes, therefore, I can view it for longer without my eyes constantly adjusting to the focus. Otherwise you'll get a headache. Don't mess with your vision, people. The other thing is that light can shine through the sides. I wear a blanket over my head because I don't like that. I want nothing but the screen. So, overall... It's a fun piece of gear to try if you don't mind tossing the $20. It was really just for a quick phase for me. But I knew that going in. (I try not to get addicted to games for to long of a time span). Glad I did it though. Give it a go 🤷♂️ BUT if y'all are buying for children, please educate them on the importance of vision and not to mess with that. Help them understand that they may need to adjust it accordingly. Thank you

Poorly Produced Product
Product feels cheap and looks cheap. The big lenses are nice but there's no point if the rest of the product isn't. Where the lenses are placed in convexed outwards so there's pressure again your forehead. The design is symmetrical either, like someone sat on it before putting it in the box. The mask part is way too wide as well, which makes it even more uncomfortable. Though if you have an abnormally large head it may be a plus for you. The vision divider is off-center as well. I've had fold-it-yourself cardboard models with better production quality. Not even worth half the price.

Easy Switch VR!
Have you seen the recent updates to some switch games? Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey have all added VR modes in recent months. If you wanted to try them, Nintendo would have you purchase their Labo VR kit. But that costs 40$ and if you're not into the construction aspect it's a hurdle all the same. But let's say you don't want to have to jump through all that to play those modes? Then this OIVO headset has you covered. At half the cost of the Labo VR set there's no setup. You just take the stickers off the eye pieces, put the switch into the headset as my Son demonstrates in the image, make the sure the straps are comfortably snug so the headset stays in place and you're all set. The family was gathering over the Thanksgiving break and since the family loves the Switch I felt like this would be a neat thing to play with and I was right! The family had fun taking turns in the Mario Odyssey puzzle like rooms, and looking all around the stages in the Smash Brothers mode. And I got to explore in Breath of the Wild myself which was really cool. I was hesitant to try the Labo VR kit because of the price, but if you want to check out these modes and the other games with VR modes that I haven't even tried yet then I would definitely recommend this Oivo headset for an easy and affordable VR experience for the Switch as well as a great gift for a Son/Daughter.

This product feels more like a punishment than a product. lol 1 out of 100.
Cons: The lens gives you double focus. Product cant view middle of switch. The straps are adjustable, but is so short its useless, might as well hold the Nintendo switch to my face. WARNING : Product may rip off skin/imprint on your nose and cheek bones leaving you uncomfortable. I tested this out on a simple Mario kart race and I could only view the driver in the corner of the products lens. I also stood on a bridge on Pokémon Peral and couldn't even see the bridge. This Product is NOT worth the investment unless you wish to figure out how bad it truly is. Pros: The Nintendo switch is firmly latched into place. with holes for charging, venting, volume, and power button.
