PG-13742 Alternator Replacement for Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500, Durango, Dakota, Ram 2500, Ram 3500, B2500, B3500, B1500, Ram 4000, 121000-4300

The alternator works... but i susoect it isnt really putting out 136amps. Not sire but it is charging. I had to put it in my 98 grand cherokee 5.9 limited. Factory is 150amps but no one makes the 150amp.Autoparts store 136s die every year or two.. so i figured id buy the 100$ cheaper one on amazon.. whats the worst that can happen considering ones in autozone and advance dont last worth beans.The main complaint is the packaging was TERRIBLE.. there should have been thick cardboard paper surrounding this in thr box to keep it from moving. But they used thin bubble wrap. So it dangled and moved around in the thin box.. and it broke the grounding post off the aluminum housing.. and broke the plastic cover that protects the positive cable. Which is fine i just swapped the plastic cover over from my old one.But the ground post i had to run a seperate ground from my battery to the alterbator mounting bolts instead. As i didnt wanna return this.But it works.. it charges.. seems ok so far

The media could not be loaded.  Arrived on time quality is good looks good after installation works as should I believe personally it isn’t putting out 136 Amps because I am still having light dimming issues and I do not have a 4000 watt audio system this altenator should give plenty of power plus some.

This alternator was a direct replacement for the original and I had no difficulty installing it.

Perfect fit and the increase in current works much better with dual battery setup
