It was working fine, but I every time I booted up my computer and I always saw a big fingerprint on the black screen. I was tried to clean it, but I was on the inside of the screen. I wish whoever put this monitor together should have worn their gloves.

Excellent PC monitor
Excellent PC monitor. I needed a wide screen to review multiple documents at one time. Like the other reviews, I was concerned about it being shorter but that was absolutely no issue once I start using it. It does work well and the picture quality is very good. The only negative is using the buttons on the bottom right side of the monitor. You have to keep pushing it up and then over to make adjustments. They should make that easier to adjust i.e. a remote. Once set it works great. I found it to be cheaper than comparable models but no less adequate on performance.

Very wide, excellent for designing, video edition, and animation (you have lot of space for time line), not very good sound
I like a lot that it is very wide, the color, the fact that you can connect several screens via an output thunderbolt port, and has a very light weight , just that i thoght that it was also tall, but it isn't. It's like having two 20" computer next to each other, but without divisions, you can connect your ipod, and watch it using Picture in Picture mode, can connect 2 computers, and see one in one half of the screen and second computer in the second half. It does not have a very good sound, so I have to buy a 7 channel sound card and Logitech speakers for my Mac.

I've had a variety of monitors. I was using my hp2509m for about 6 years or something.. I lost count. I also had an iMac 27 from 2011-2012.Anyways, this aspect ratio intrigued me. It actually fits perfect on my desk. The matte screen is perfect for my uses. I use a lot of FCPX and Aperture, and unlike almost all glossy screens, this doesn't over-saturate my photographs - therefore I can see a more realistic preview of what it would actually look like on print.People complain about the vertical height, but I think its fine. Its more around 12x26 screen size. I also like playing Battlefield 4 on it. While it took a bit of a hit on my video card (7870) it runs REALLY nice on medium-high settings @ 60fps. Plus, with FOV set to 100, its basically hax because I have such a wide angle on everything.I was debating between this and a 27 1440p monitor from south korea. I didn't want to buy from there in case it was dead and the ASUS is 50 bucks more, and while thats not too much more expensive, I knew I'd need to buy a new video card, and with the price gouging everyone is doing right now its not worth it.Its also nice because I can code with a text editor, watch tutorial videos, and have a chrome tab open for previewing my work without stacking all over the place.

This monitor is a complete POS. I bought it, it has a pixel out, the replacement has two pixels out and every time I try to use it, it converts the settings to Japanese. I will never purchase from this company again and I am appalled at the return policy. This monitor is not worth the trouble. Go with LG. STEER CLEAR OF THIS JUNK. It has been nothing but a huge headache.

Awesome 21:9 monitor
I was hesitant to pick up a 21:9 UWS monitor after reading numerous articles about the lack of practicality in their design, but looking at my specific needs, I decided to go against that chatter and purchase one anyways. Well, I'm here to tell you, it does NOT disappoint. Movies and most games can benefit greatly from this wide angle view, as well pulling up multiple documents, side by side or editing videos and what not. Yes, while internet browsing, some sites will leave you with a lot of empty space, if you have it maximized, but this is a very minor nuance. As a matter of fact, after getting used to the extra real estate, it doesn't even bother me anymore. For those of you who want more screen space, but don't have the desk space or money to spend on multi display setups, this is an awesome alternative. As for the Philips monitor specifically, it is an excellent, sharp display with a good amount of extra features and inputs aplenty. Cons: the only thing that holds this monitor back, is that is does not swivel, which is still a minor setback, but for some folks, this may be an issue. Also, a word to the wise, if you plan on gaming with this monitor, as with other bigger displays, make sure you have the graphics card to push it.

Really great monitor, but many Mac users will need an adapter
Great monitor--looks fantastic and the real estate is exactly what you'd want in the ultra-wide format. But Mac users should be aware that this monitor requires the Dual-Link DVI connection, so the typical cables or adapters you have lying around for your MacBook or iMac (and even the cables included with the monitor) will not deliver the full resolution in all its Brilliance. For full resolution and mediocre quality, you can get the mini DisplayPort to full DisplayPort cable for about $10. This produces a "video" signal, so it's not great for text work. If you want to use the monitor the way it was intended, you'll need to buy the $99 Apple DisplayPort-to-Dual-Link DVI adapter. With that expensive adapter, everything works great.Note that the monitor works fine without either of the cables/adapters I mentioned above, but you won't get the full resolution. You can get a stretched 16:9 (1920x1080) resolution to fill it, but I was really looking for the 2560x1080 high-quality resolution and Apple's adapter was the only way to achieve that.

avoid if you have late 2013 macbok pro retina
This is a gorgeous display by itself attractive design with no dead pixels. However, the monitor is not recognized using hdmi, and can only work with a dual-link adaptor. When hooked up with dual-link adaptor, the text looked just horrible. I tried a lot of stuff onlineHowever, the montior seems to work very well when hooked up to my PC, so I guess avoid if you have a MBP retina. Otherwise a well built display
