this is one great guide that will help you maximize your time and make your stay one of the best ever!
I have always wanted to visit Japan because of its rich culture and interesting tourist spots that it has. Specially Tokyo! Being the capital of this country I am excited to see how their ancient culture meets the modern time in this city. I only see Tokyo in movies and will hopefully see it in person at the end of this year with my family. I am so excited that I purchased a guide this early LOL. And this book did not fail me! It’s funny but this book has already helped me make an itinerary way before we book our plane tickets. This book has everything you will need as a tourist --- the places you should see, the food you should try , activities that must be experience and the hotels that we can stay at.If you are planning for a trip to Tokyo, this is one great guide that will help you maximize your time and make your stay one of the best ever!

This is confusing because it looks like it was written in a few hours with large ...
I am embarrassed to say I was also fooled by the positive reviews and purchased this book in paperback for for $8.00. This book was the highest rated Japan guide when I purchased it: This is confusing because it looks like it was written in a few hours with large font, minimal content, and poor quality photos. It actually reminds me a lot of projects from grade school where you would spend an afternoon writing a report on a place, and if it were such, it would be a pretty solid B+ effort... The title probably refers to the fact that this book was written and published in a total of 3 days.Note that there is no author listed for this book anywhere, only "3 day guides," as nobody wants their name associated with it. The book is copyrighted by "BeutyBodyStyle." Also note that if you look at the image credits the images are all taken from Flickr. Really this information (and much more/higher quality) is readily available in a brief session looking up information on the internet. I must assume the initial reviews must have been a scam. I felt obligated to help lower the rating on this "thing" (I have trouble referring to it as a "book") to save other people from the same dismal fate that I, and who knows how many others, have succumbed to.After much searching for a better guide, it really seems that best way to get accurate and the most up to date information is simply by browsing online. Would be nice to have a kindle guide you could take with you, but given that Japan just opened a hotel run entirely by robots they probably have internet technology there to look things up if needed as well.

Great Travel Guide to Tokyo
This is one of the best guide I have read. It goes beyond the standard guides by explaining intricate details of how the city was formed, how it has evolved and where to find the hidden gems. Going on a vacation is to relax, enjoy the culture and explore, this is all shown in various chapters of the book, for instance, Tokyo Nightlife, budget friendly lodgings and best places to visit. All in all, well laid out book.

Needs maps
The recommendations seem to be good but there are no maps and no directions to get from one place to another.

Fooled!
This book is skimpy on quality, insights, and length. Am I crazy? After all, there are 17 reviews, with average rating of 4.8. Look closer. 16 out of the 17 reviews were posted in a 10 day period in March. Almost all of the reviews are short and void of content. Could they be posted by the publisher's friends? How did 16 reviews all get published within the first 10 days of the publishing date? The print quality is poor. The contents are much less than you can get on any number of Japanese tourism sites. The length is 76 pages. Sounds good? The sightseeing portion is only 47 pages, with large prints, poor quality b&w photos, and would not fill up 15 pages if printed single spaced on 8.5 x 11 paper. My guess is an average English major in college can put this book together with 4-5 hours of internet research on Tokyo. The three days are divided into...3 days. No starting time, no ending time. No estimated time per attraction. No help in getting from one place to the next. No maps.

Great
This book is helpful and concise. Just the right amount of info... not too overwhelming. It offers lots of choices to consider.
