The book proved informative and a easy read. The chapters are listed in the index for easy reference. So whether you are looking for training hints or how to read your Hav's body language,diet,grooming etc., the information can be found. I have raised an Havanese who is now 5yrs and enjoyed the author's love and spot -on knowledge of the breed. I particularly found helpful the index at the end of the book with every possible canine support organization with addresses and websites.An excellent reference book for everything canine and Havanese.

I wish this book had been written two years ago when we purchased our first Havanese puppy. It was our first experience with owning a small dog and this book would have saved me many a sleepless night! Small dogs are just different from larger ones in some respects, and this book is a great guide to understanding them. The author covers a lot of subjects that don't appear in any of the earlier books written on the breed (like the pros and cons of raw diets). I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering purchasing a Havanese.

I have recently inherited a two year old female Havanese. I knew nothing about this breed. The book has really given meinsight into this type of dog. This book covers the history of the breed, plus gave me additional information on what to expect from this type of dog. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

Lovely, well written and very knowledgeable information. Pictures are delightful of this wonderful animal the Havenese. I do have a little girl of seven months and she has won my heart and soul. This book will guide me to being the best friend I can be to her. Thank you for sharing the knowledge of this charming little dog.

I read this book wondering what the ending sentences of each chapter might be, since they were truncated. Who knows what came after the last broken sentence? This is outrageous in this day and age and should be fixed before they send out any more. The book has useful information, but the production is lacking. The proofs of a digital production need as much examination as print ones do, and the fact that information is missing from so many pages is hard to justify.Despite this, it was a good book which would have had five stars if all of it were there!

There is much to learn about this relatively new breed. They are simply one of the most wonderful small dogs around. This little book was helpful, and confirmed I had purchased the absolutely best dog for me and my life style. He's pretty darn happy with me too!

Great book with helpful as well as insightful tips on owning a Havanese. We are first time Havanese owners, long time dog owners, so we've been reading as much as we can on them. Their history is colorful, but thier personalities are just so much fun :).
