Awesome Laptop.
Build quality is superb.Screen is good.Fingerprint scanner and trackpad works flawlessly.Battery is also up to the mark.Speakers are suprisingly very good.Screen Brightness could have been a little more though most of the times it's quite adequate. The processor is very powerful too and the storage is very fast.RAM is upgradable and I would recommend to upgrade it.Simply the best laptop under 40k, no doubt.

Sexiest & snappy laptop in 35K
Great product from asus at amazing price. SSD & AMD Ryzen 5 makes it very snappy n fast. It takes 5 seconds to bootup. Bettery life could have been better. Good screen n u get backlit keyboard.Tip 1 : register ur laptop on asuspromo.in & u can get 2 year warranty @99 & 3 years @999 .Upload ur invoice on this site. U have to download it from Amazon.in u can't get it from app. I upload my scan copy of invoice that comes with box but it was rejected by asus so u have to upload ur invoice pdf which u can get on Amazon.in . It must contain serial number of ur laptop in it.I'll update this review after some months.Update after one month:Bettery is the only conAsus can improve in this area whether it have to increase little weight

A over rated product...
Didn't get that much surprise which expected..1.lack of lan port.have to buy usb converter for making lan available.2.sound quality is poor.the default bit quality of the device is 16bit 48000hz..which is very poor.3. Display is not that good. Viewing angle is very much disappointing. You can't enjoy watching movies with family in this laptop.4. Gaming is quite okay. Fifa 19 is playable without any lag. Only the ram have to be upgraded to 8 GB.5. Keyboard quality is not good. After 2 months of use volume up button lost working. Each time I opened the lid the volume rises to 100% automatically and each time I have to adjust that volume. Don't know where is the problem in the laptop or windows itself.

Full bang for buck
Premium look and feel though ram upgrade is absolutely necessary and viewing angle is crappy

Edit after 3 yrs. Poor build quality of internals.
Read edit 4 (after 3 year usage)I would suggest the laptop over intel based laptops as the later are pricier. AMD's ryzen 3500u lets you play almost all the game at low settings at 720p (another ram of 4gb/8gb should be installed for them to work in dual channel mode)Based on the initial tests, I did not notice any lags and the finger print is highly responsive.Coming to the Pro's of the Laptop:- Ultra thin bezels gives an amazing look. Good display- 1080p- Performance similar to i5 8250u- Graphics (Vega 8 integrated) performance better than intel hd 620 and mx 130- Amazing touchpad. Very responsive fingerprint sensor- HDD docket provided for future 2.5 inch hard drive upgradation- Love the way 'Peacock blue' changes colour under different light conditions- Pretty decent Web cam at this price point (Have seen webcams of laptops which costs 30k not responding)- Backlit key board- Comes with windows 10 home- Speakers are loud- Can play most of the recent games at 720p low settings (requires 8gb ram atleast and dual channel memory)- Battery backup of 3-5 hoursCons:- ErgoLift hinge kind of digs into your lap if you are to use the laptop on your laps. Only a con if you keep the laptop on your Lap for a Long duration- Only 256gb SSD storage. (Though you can add a HDD (hard disk drive), it would cost 2-3k more)- 4gb ram soldered on to motherboard and cannot be removed. There is an additional slot in the laptop for upgradation.- Power on/off button is placed at the right corner of the keyboard instead on the Body of Laptop. One might accidently press it while using.- 4gb not sufficient for playing games. Need to add another ram of 4gb/ 8gb in the empty slotEdit 1:- Please visit authorized service center to upgrade ram/hdd. Don't remove on back cover on your own, you'll be voiding the warranty.- Visit asuspromo website for additional 2 year or 3 year warranty @ 99rs or 999rs respectively.Edit 2:- No RJ45 port. Would have to get a usb extension if you need to connect to ethernet. (Not a con for me as I only use Wifi)Edit 3:- If you want better performance in games and work, go for the 8gb version of the laptop. As integrated Vega begs for dual ram.- Probably by 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2020, AMD's 5500m discrete graphics would enter the market. This further reduces the price of gaming laptops in 40k+ range. Just a heads up.Edit 4: (after 3 years) (changed from 5 star to 2 star)- Had to replace charger for 1.5k Rs after 2 year.- Asus Vivobooks internals are made from very cheap plastic which degrades within 3 years. Today my laptop's hinge broke the screen panel while trying to open the laptop. Upon inspection found that the internal plastic holding the hinges (screw molds) have degraded so much that it became powdery. This ensures that the laptop doesn't last as long as say HP, Dell or lenovo thinkpad series laptops.- Had to incur extra 7000 for the display frame and hinges.- Stay away from asus vivobook laptops. Though they give good specifications, they are not meant to last Long
