Koldfront 30 Bottle Built-In Single Zone Wine Cooler - Black

I previously had one of the evaporative coolers and placed it in a ventilated, under the counter spot. That simply is not a good idea. That type needs to be in the center of your room with nothing around it to work. So, I went shopping for a new cooler specifically to go under the counter, which requires a compressor unit.The space I had previously held a trash compactor that worked, but really wasn't helpful. We pulled it out because we did want a wine cooler in the slot. This unit fit perfectly in the open spot, sliding in easily. ( Do check height when viewing various units. Some may be too high to fit under your counter. This one was perfect.The unit blends with our black appliances, and it keeps the wine at the temperature we selected. There is no trick to the installation. Plug it in, slide it into the available space, set the temperature, load the bottles, and you are done. No need for any help ( unless you want to open a bottle and share it ).So if all is well, why only 4 stars ? As others have noted, this is not the most silent unit. It's not a problem, but it is noisier than my refrigerator ( but not nearly as bad as the dishwasher ) so it's reasonable to say its not 'perfect'. Would I buy it again knowing this ? Of course. It does the job, and met my expectation, even if it does talk to me a bit.

Great wine fridge. FedEx delivered it and as usual, they did a poor job. Outer box was torn and the cooler was left upside down. I let it sit for 48 hours before plugging it in. It has done well in keeping wine and champagne cold. I keep it on 40 degrees. It will cool to 38. When it warms up to 43 it will cool down again.

Fits nicely under the cabinet. A little hard to level the back feet to get it stable which results in mild vibration during the cooling cycle. The fan kicks on and off to circulate the cold air and this can be distracting if the unit is in an area where the sound would bother you. Keeps a good constant temperature and it looks nice. I wish it had a lock.

It is aesthethically pleasing, and keeps the bottles at their recommended temps. It cycles a little loud, but i am hoping that once it gets installed into the cabinet it will buffer some of that noise. The shelves are placed a smidge narrow, so some of the fatter bottles have to be worked in more carefully.

pretty sweet....especially the blue light. I did have a few problems trying to fit the larger than standard sized wine bottles, but just remove a shelf and the problem is solved. The only time my temperature changes is when the door is open and the change is like 2 degrees. Regarding the noise issues; if your house is dead silent and you are in the same room then yes every now and then you will hear the motor(fan) but mine is sitting pretty close to my Samsung refrigerator and my refrigerator is doing a pretty awesome job drowning out any noises from all of the other appliances..lol..

Purchased several months ago. No problems with it as of Dec. 2016. Keeps the wine nicely chilled. It is currently freestanding in my den. Hope to get it put under the kitchen cabinets sometime soon.

Rather noisy, but works nicely and looks so much better than the unsightly trash compactor that no longer worked. I would have given it five stars but the fans make it noisy. It looks pretty and works well and I am glad that we got it. I would recommend it otherwise.

This cooler fits nicely where my old cooler fit, but it's very loud. It keeps the wine at a good temp in a very noisy way. I would not buy it again or recommended it. If you locate this away from a seating area is should be okay. If not, you will hear it turn on and off every time.
