This Farberware microwave is a perfect size for my kitchen and works amazingly well. The 1000 watts of power heats food quickly and evenly. I really like the auto cook settings and the defrost function — very convenient for daily use. The stainless steel design looks modern and is easy to clean. The child safety lock is also a great feature for families. Overall, excellent quality for the price and highly recommended!

I just received this so I can’t speak to its longevity but they don’t make things to last anymore so I’m not going to worry over that, just happy to have full size microwave after my last started to smoke on new years day no less! It was 11 years old so Probly that’s a normal lifetime anymore. I was using a very small one till this came and couldn’t wait for its arrival which was quickly and on time. Love the non white/beige interior, not sure why most are like that. My last had dark interior too and loved it. Very nice and sleek looking in the dark steel color. I will say tho, the keypad could be easier to use as far as it takes a pretty strong push to set the numbers you want and not sure the reason for the button to open the door when cooking is done, a safety issue I guess? But it can be disabled thankfully. All in all it’s a nice microwave, extremely heavy and a nice average size.

This is a great microwave. Don’t worry about the door lock function that other people are complaining about. That can be disabled. Instructions for that are in the manual and on a sticker on top of the microwave itself. Any ways so far so good. Everything has worked as expected. The potato button worked perfect and the potato was completely done. Popcorn button worked fine, no issues. Grilled some hamburgers on the grill and nuked them for leftovers the next day, worked perfect. I like the 6 preset minute buttons and the add 30 seconds. You could even just keep hitting the 30 seconds(Start) button and it’ll fire up and start running while you just increase the 30 second count. We needed this exact size due to space requirements. Overall this microwave was a much needed upgrade over our previous model, which was the same brand, but had that air fryer feature we never used. The price is great for the features. I was so worried about it being damaged in shipment, but arrived in perfect condition. Definitely recommend. 1.6 Cubic Feet

Microwave works well, and looks great. The only issue I noticed, is the turn table is annoyingly loud. But for the price great quality was never expected from this purchase. All in all, it does what it was built to do, even if a bit loudly.

box was damage but inside was pristine works great alittle smaller then the 1200 i had that broke fits a standard dinner plate with room to spare light inside isnt as bright as my last one but it works fine as far as noise goes - my other microwave was much louder the look of this is awesome but wish the light with numbers were blue, not green. thats me only complaint really ugly green timing lights instead of blue. it takes away the classy look of it but overall im really happy

So far so good. The beeping while pushing the keys and the beeping when it’s done is a little loud but other than that it’s good. Its 900 watts. It’s made for reheating and defrosting small things but not to cook gourmet meals in. Look into the detentions inside and out if buying this. It’s perfect for small spaces. It gives me more counter space. It’s perfect for just me and my husband. We just heat up plates of food with it. The glass turntable plate inside is a little over 10 1/2 inches. Just big enough to fit a standard dinner plate. The pasta container I had in the picture was only 7 inches by 7 inches wide. The plug extends around 42 inches. Not a lot of people take that into consideration.

EDIT 12/25/2024: Rating reduced from 5 stars to 1. It would be zero if I could. The unit arrived in a day and there was zero damage to the box. The unit also had no visible damage to the cabinet or the power cord. But it was electrically dead right out of the box. I read the manual and followed the instructions which were few and simple. The display would not light up. The control panel was completely unresponsive. I plugged it into several outlets proven to be working with other appliances. Nothing. It's just dead. Back it goes. Already processed the return. It's disappointing. I'd expect at least minimal quality control like plugging the units in to see if they'll at least power up and the lights come on before they're shipped out to retailers. Apparently that didn't happen. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Just for clarity since their are multiple versions in this product listing, I bought the 1.3 cu ft, 1000W version with the stainless steel finish and the curved door handle. A microwave is pretty much like a coffee pot or a toaster oven to me. We use it 99% of the time to..... 1.) Heat up coffee or tea. 2.) Defrost frozen stuff. 3.) Reheat leftovers. 4.) Make popcorn. So the question becomes can it do the basics with an easy to use control interface and is it durable / reliable. The answer in this case is yes. This is a direct replacement for the exact same Farberware branded microwave I bought 7 years ago for the exact same price. The only difference is that the original one was black and this one has a stainless steel finish. The styling and control interface is identical except for a couple of feature additions in the new one. But as an offset, the old one had an output of 1100W and this one is rated at 1000W. No big deal. The physical size both inside and outside are identical. That's critical for me as this thing has to fit in a built in cubby / garage over the counter. And this is the largest unit that will fit I've ever found. As for the inside, it will fit a large dinner plate. Good enough. As for the control interface, there is a zero learning curve as it's almost identical to the one it's replacing. It has the basics covered..... 1.) Time cook. 2.) Time defrost. 3.) Weight defrost. 4.) Power level adjustment 5.) 5 presets for popcorn, pizza, dinner plate, potato, frozen veggies, and beverages. 6.) One touch cook time from 1-6 min. The old one was 1-3 min. 7.) 30 second one touch add by pressing the start button again. It's obvious that they put some thought into the interface to make it really easy to do what microwaves are used for 99% of the time. If you need to read the manual to use this, well... you need help. LOL, it's that easy. As for value, the original black one cost me the exact same $135 in March 2018. It's not dead. It still heats fine. But the timer / clock display flips out intermittently then comes back to life randomly before failing again. Just annoying. And the inside has seen enough wear that its not possible to get it really clean looking any longer. But hey, this thing gets used probably 10 times daily by 4 people on average. And at $135 the original lasted 7 years. That's about $19/year or $1.60/month. I'm OK with replacing it with a newer version at this point. I got good value out of it. Hopes this helps anyone trying to make a decision.

This is a high quality microwave and is much safer than a small microwave--they often have problems. I bought the stainless and white model, and instead of a large black eyesore in my white kitchen, it's actually quite a nice addition. It heats very well, is easy to clean, has enough light and the door lock teeny button is actually very easy to use. Excellent price and I expect it to last a long time.
