Good Night, Lightning (Disney/Pixar Cars) Board book – January 8, 2013

This book is adorable! It glows in the dark and delights my grandson. I will forewarn you that you have to hold the book up to a light, page by page, before it will actually glow. The glowing part delighted my grandson. Even if you do not use the glow in the dark portion, the book has raised things on each page which is fun for a toddler.

Bought it for my 20 month old because he loves cars and we’ve read it almost every night for months. Not very long but still cute. If you hold it to light for about a minute and turn off the lights it glows in the dark A LOT which he loves.

This book is really only good for a 2-3 year old. It doesn't have a whole lot of text, but is a good last book in the night time routine. It can give you an excuse to turn the light off in the room to see it glow in the dark. You will need a flashlight but can be your phone make it glow. My Cars loving 2 year old loves it. Would be good for gifting.

My son is 3 and obsessed with CARS lately. My mom and I both got him this book, so now we have two of these. Unfortunately, it’s a really short story. We were so excited to read it before bed last night, but there’s only a few pages and one simple line on each. It’s also really hard to get each page to glow. Unless you charge each page in natural or artificial light, they don’t glow. How are you supposed to open up each page to “charge” them?!! I guess you could open up a page and let it sit out for a bit, then turn the page and repeat. All in all, it was a pretty big letdown reading this last night. He still had fun pointing out all of the characters and asked me to read it numerous times. That wasn’t a problem since it only took about 60 seconds to get through the book! 😅I recommend this book for kiddos under 2, maybe 3. Hope this helps! 😉

Glows very well! Fun book for any age. I bought it for a Disney theme, but I even liked reading through it and viewing the glow in the dark parts.

Great book very strong and well made binding and pages that hold up well to rough playing toddlers! Love the story too!

The pictures and glow feature is awesome. It actually glows quite brights.My son noticed McQueen is cleaned and painted but the last page he is dirty again lol. Not a big deal but he noticed. A cute quick bedtime book if that’s what you’re looking for, not really a story though. McQueen basically is a race car, he has a friend, they eat and go to bed. That’s it. Good for littler kids who would like to look at the illustrations more than being read something with a story line.

I had my doubts about this item because of other previously grow gl in the dark books ordered that did not glow in the dark. I bought it for my grandson and I thought what ? you have to wait 30 seconds on each picture for it to glow in the dark? that is ridiculous . So I was reading it in bed with my grandson and I had a little flashlight and he said Grandma could I have the flashlight and he took the flashlight and he put it over each Picture of the entirr page It I was unbelievable it's so bright and glows it's fantastic!! I don't know who is more impressed and excited him or me! FUN WOW especially if recipient is a Disney Pixar car fan!! This item is not limited to 3-year-olds..haha
