A Strange Kind of God is a marvelous character study that gives a detailed look inside the psyche of a brilliant yet flawed soldier. The themes of love, quests, goals, and conquests are well-explored too. The dream-like sequences that run parallel to the main narrative boast of some excellent prose.Something that Mr. Jaideep excels at in this book is writing authentic and action-packed combat sequences. This book contains some of the best action writing I've ever read.The only criticism I can find is that the general prose can get stilted at places due to an unconventional word-choice here and there but it's a minor flaw that is quite tolerable.Overall, this book is an enjoyable read which does justice to its themes and has some brilliantly written action. It's a must read for everyone who enjoys a well-developed and well-earned character arc.

Shows that a military person is fully hardened as the common perception is - that they can have a softer, emotional side.Those desiring to get a view into this alternative perspective can try this out.

A beautifully written love story. The setting and the way it has been portrayed leaves the reader yearning for more. Absolutely engrossing and captivating. A must read.
