Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction: Teaching Beyond the Facts (Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Series)

This is one of the most engaging and useful books I've read on curriculum. I've been trying to attach concepts to my lesson plans but I've always been uncertain on how effective these plans are. The most useful part of this book was its main theme. That is, how to teach beyond facts. The book is constantly clarifying concepts developed by the author; and uses many models to visualize a concept-based curriculum. It is a must for every teacher and educator working at any level in education.

There are not a lot of books out there covering this subject - yet. Therefore, this book is valuable. It's also very accessible and there's lots to use here.

This book was a required read for a graduate class I took this summer. In the end I felt this book was a good read for someone heading towards project based learning. While not easy to read it was definately worth my while.

Shipped in a timely manner, great cost and EXACTLY what I needed for my class. Content is okay (generally speaking classroom instruction is constantly changing so whatever...this is definitely a class required type book).

Not written for the novice but makes some good points about teaching beyond facts and details

First, I was not sure to purchase a used book with a company that I have never heared about it. but I am happy with my order. The book looked like a new one. cheap, clean, on time ;-)
