Don't get the Micro$oft keyboard - THIS IS THE ONE
My surface GO 2 was almost completely unusable with the microsoft keyboard. That keyboard worked fine for the most part, but it had no "smarts" and HAD NO ABILITY FOR PALM REJECTION. In other words, typing was a constant chore because the touchpad would register touches while typing and move the cursor. I can't tell you how frustrating it was to edit documents and spreadsheets when your cursor wouldn't stay put!!!This neat little keyboard almost is identifical in shape and size, but it's BLUETOOTH! It lights up! There is a tiny lag when starting it up, but for the most part, it's set and forget. The keyboard lights up when opening the Surface, and nearly imperceptably is ready to go in less than a second. (Microsoft's is faster, probably because it doesn't use bluetooth). Beyond that, though, they are identical in performance and you will have no regrets with the Inateck!I've had this for 1-2 weeks. No regrets.

Good keyboard, decent trackpad, sketchy backlight very light. Recommended.
The good:Battery life without backlight is goodBacklit for low light workKey feel/travel is surprisingly good (I expected it to kinda suck, but it's not bad at all)Recharges over USBWorks attached or unattached from Surface - I use it while separate ALL THE TIME - wish the Microsoft version was BT, but it is not.The bad:USB charges via Micro-USB, not USB-CBacklight isn't uniformBacklight leaks below keysTouchpad is decent but not great, it works but is less sensitive than the Microsoft version.Battery life with backlight on is poorAll those issues are minor, none are deal breakers. One feature I really wish it had was multiple device BT connectivity. I have many BT keyboards, and all but this one allow connecting to and switching between multiple BT devices; computer, phone, tablet, camera, tv, Etc. If one thing could be improved upon, it'd be to allow multiple device connectivity. I know this is a dedicated Surface keyboard, and that's fine - but on the go I usually have my Surface Go2, this keyboard and multiple other devices. Since this keyboard travels with me, it'd be amazingly useful if I could take advantage of it more.

Excellent Customer Service!
The cutouts for the keycaps (the part you depress) are too large so the backlighting LEDs are visible underneath and are too bright to make out the actual letters.Otherwise, it's quite usable. The magnets securing it to the Surface are nice and strong, unlike a previous (returned) keyboard. I've not had any troubles with Bluetooth during pairing or disconnecting afterwards. Keys have nice springy feel.If only they made the keycaps a little larger...Edit 2023-10-09: Inateck lists lifetime customer support on their website, and they make good on it. My keyboard's space bar and right [Shift] started to misbehave, and Inateck's customer support replaced it. Their tech support number has a San Bernadino area code, and their About Us tells of their German origin. I feel much better knowing that it's not out of the Far East. All in all, I feel great owning this product and will recommend it. (BTW, BT keyboards also make great media center PC controllers. Just because it's sized for the Surface Go doesn't mean it can only connect to that form factor.)

Update: It stopped working. --- Fantastic replacement. Rechargeable battery.
It stopped working less than 10 months of low usage.I charge it and it will power up for 10 seconds, then turn off, every time.As shown, there is no physical damage to the keyboard and I always kept it stored attached to the pad inside of a cover.I am disappointed. I expect more.----------Original review:This works great with my Microsoft Surface Go. It fits just like the Microsoft version, but it has its own rechargeable battery (that lasts months), so it permits use when not physically attached to the tablet. (I sometimes use a stand for my tablet at eye level and use the keyboard lower.)Keyboard feel is good.Color match is good.-------------

Microsoft go 2
Absolutely love, love, love everything about this keyboard. Intech went above and beyond when they created this keyboard and I was shocked it worked when I detached it from my Microsoft go 2.

Backlighting Stopped
First, I guess the keyboard apparently has a setting that causes it to stop working after 5 minutes even while typing and you must tap the space bar to get it working again. After 4 months the keyboard backlight started half working then flashing on when typing now after about 5 months the lighting doesn't work at all. Bluetooth worked very well and connected to my surface go easily. This will still function without the backlight but I need that so I'm giving it 3 stars. Other than these two issues the keyboard works fine.

Works great
Works very well— better than my previous Microsoft version. Only drawback is the key clicks are kind of loud. You’re not going to covertly type during a meeting.
