PILOT"Capless (special alloy nib) / Deep Red" [nib : Medium]

This pen writes like butter!

In a Facebook group, members raved long and hard about this pen. I was unsure about it. One was the price. At almost $100 it's a lot for a pen. Second, was the placement of the clip and how it would fit in my small hand. I decided to give this pen a chance. After using it for several months, I am a big fan. Writes like a dream every single time. The clip isn't an issue. It's a well-made, lovely writer.

This has become my new everyday carry. Its nib is so reliable. The ink flow is a great medium line. My favorite color is red and this is a nice deep red. It fits perfectly in hand or in your pen case. This price is one of the best I’ve seen for this pen anywhere. Definitely being a knock mechanism is a plus for a quick note.

"Special Alloy" is just another word to say "not gold". It's ok to say it's steel! The special alloy thing threw me off so much. It's very heavy for my hands so I had to return it. It's a well designed pen, but not usable for people who want something a but easier to write with.

Received this pen 4 days ahead of the scheduled window I was given of 12/16/19-1/6/20. Have been having a BLAST! I work in records at a jail and it makes my life so much easier when I can bring a passion of mine to work like this. Need to buy a CON-40 Converter if you plan to use bottled ink, as this pen comes with only 1 black cartridge, but those are very affordable with the money you save buying this pen vs the $140-$150 of the price with the 18k gold nib. I have noticed no issues with Feathering or bleedthrough, even on Cheap copy paper. Overall, the best Grail pen a girl could ask for!

I paid a lot of money for this pen. After using few weeks, it is leaking ink hence the writing is very thick. Just not happy.

Beautiful pen. I find it hard to go wrong with a Pilot fountain pen and this one is no exception. I like the weight of the pen. It is substantial in a comfortable way. I thought the clip would bother me, but it doesn’t. Ink flows beautifully. Only disappointment: it doesn’t come with a converter. Can’t use one of my beautiful inks.

Amazing pen! Great writer. I first thought I didn’t care for the color but it has grown on me. It’s a beauftul red. I switched the nib for a fine an use it with blue ink. This is the default pen in my sport coat pocket Shipping was excellent. I’m very happy with the purchase

It writes very smooth. Though medium nibbed, it writes like a fine nib (No surprise though as Pilot pens are known for their nibs to write one size smaller than the nib size of other brands).

Beautiful pen, a delight to use. This is my first pilot fountain pen, in fact, it's my first capless pen and I will definitely buy another one. For any neophyte to the world of good fountain pen, I'd recommend buying the medium nib as a starter. I was a little worried that the medium nib would be too thick for me, but in fact, it turned out to be equivalent to the fine nibs of other pens. I would recommend this pen.

A one star is NOT my evaluation to this pen because I am unable to use it so unable to evaluate!! I purchased two of this capless pen one was for a friend. My new pen fall on soon after receiving and its nib was damaged before enjoying the usage of the pen that I waited couple of weeks. I wrote to the supplier (sept couleur Japan) which I expected to have same high level of customer service that AMAZON has, But so far my expectation was wrong! They didn,t response to my request to help. I would be very careful when make an order through AMAZON that would be sold and shipped by a third party. I do not know yet if AMAZON can do anything to help. They can help repair even with charging for.

Très bel aspect, atypique, la plume fine glisse très bien et le débit est régulier. l'utilisation est très agréable et correspond à mon style d'écriture. Le prix n'est pas excessif au regard de la concurrence. La boîte sensée lui servir d'écrin n'en est malheureusement pas un, elle est très ordinaire et presque indigne de l'objet, mais même si on ne l'achète pas pour le contenant, une étoile en moins pour cela ! Comme on dit de nos jours, très bonne expérience utilisateur.

This pen is not red, it is a burgundy color and it’s honestly very ugly. The medium nib however is pretty smooth and nice to write with. Deeply regret this purchase because the colour is awful.
