CLASSIC LIKE THE FIRST
THE LEGEND OF THE DRUNKEN MASTERAs any one who has read my review of the first film by Jackie Chan called "Drunken Master" can tell you I am a huge fan of that film. Which by the way that first film has a lot to do with an earlier film starring Jackie by the same cast and crew called "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow", just check it out. So it goes with out saying that I love this one as well. Jackie Chan has and will always be a king of these kinds of films; you know great martial arts action mixed with that comedic style. Like the first film this is excellent in both departments.Chan reprises his role as real Chinese folk hero Wong Fei Hung as he is on his way home when he mixes up a box he had with one identical. The thing that is in that box is a very valuable piece of Chinese artifacts, in fact he unwittingly gets mixed up with those wanting to steal even more. So as these British criminals try to recover what they lost to him Wong Fei must do battle with them using a martial arts style his father disapproves of. That style of course is Zui Quan (Drunken Fist/Drunken Boxing) and his dad disapproves because he must get drunk to fully utilize his skills here, but he fears his son will not know when to stop drinking.Jackie Chan is in top form here and looks just as good here as he did in the first film which was something like 16 years prior. So that makes it even more impressive especially after you see the action in this film. Which I must say is top notch and not only amazing but also very funny at times. The film is directed by Lau Kar-Leung [Liu Chia-Liang] who also directed one of my favorite films of all time "36th Chamber of Shaolin" as well as its two sequels along with "My Young Auntie" among others. You may also know him as martial arts choreographer to films such as "The One-Armed Swordsmen" films as well as "Master of the Flying Guillotine", "Seven Swords" and many others, and has acted in countless films as well. So this film was staked with all kinds of talent like the two mentioned above as well as people like Lung Ti who played Chan's father and Anita Mui who was his step mother. This film in my opinion like the first film is a classic and they both rank very high amongst every one I know. If I had to choose which I thought I liked more I would not be sure. I may have to go with the first film but only by a little and even then I am not sure. Both films are classics and worth any one's time, I say go pick up both right away. Instant watching [you know what I mean] and rentals are cool but there is nothing like owning the classics baby.

One Of My Favorite Jackie Chan Movies!
This movie was re- released in 2000. The real title of this movie was called Drunken Master 2 and it was released in 1994. This movie has plenty of action and the martial arts choreography is amazing! It is also a funny movie. It is not in Chinese and it is dubbed in English. The Blu ray has audio in Spanish and French and the Blu ray has subtitles in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. I highly recommend this Blu ray if you like Jackie Chan movies, if you like martial arts movies, if you like action movies, and if you like comedy!

I love Jackie Chan Movies & This is probably his best ever!
I absolutely love this movie. Use to be able to watch in on my dvr before the hard drive went bad. Aside from that I figured I couldn't live without one of my favorite kung-fu movies, so I bought this dvd. It's a legendary classic that includes some amazing cast from the days of the Shaw Brothers including Lung Ti (awesome in the Sentimental Swordsman movies & others like Shaolin Prince & Avenging Eagle) and Chia-Liang Liu (who did a lot of fight choreography with Shaw Bros films; amazing in Mad Monkey Kung Fu). Other amazing cast members in the film like Andy Lau & Ho-Sung Pak. There is at times intense drama, but also a lot of comedy in the film that you wish that Sammo Hung could have been in the this film. When Jackie's character gets drunk his character gets to kick butt fighting. I never get bored of this film as it is enjoyable throughout and his young step-mother (played by Anita Mui) is always trying to lie and cover for him with this dad (Lung Ti). If you love martial arts classics this is the ultimate one to see.The mixup with the film all starts when Jackie's character thinks he bringing home medicine link ginseng for his dad's shop, but instead winds up with a chinese artifact that foreigners are trying to get their hands on. Jackie who loves to fight in this movie is dealt harshly with his dad who is against any kind of fighting.

Good version.
I love Jackie Chan and the Drunken Master movies. I originally saw Drunken Master II a few years prior to its American re-release as Legend of the Drunken Master (the version I saw was released by Tai Seng, I believe) and when I watched Legend in the theater, I couldn't understand why they cut the very end of the movie out. There was a whole scene afterward where Jackie has gone cuckoo from drinking the industrial alcohol. It was pretty much Jackie clowning around, but, when I finally wanted to buy the movie for my collection, all I could find was the edited, Americanized Legend of Drunken Master. This release is the original Drunken Master II and this DVD, while not as high quality as the Legend DVD, is still very good. A must for Chan fans.

Awesome
If you’re a Jackie Chan fan, you’ll love this film. I think it’s one of his best. His action scenes are nothing less than stellar.

It is exactly what I wanted.
One day I was perusing Netflix, and saw "Drunken Master 2". It was a Jackie Chan title that I had never watched before, and decided "Ah, why not?", and put it on. Little did I know that it would go on to become my favorite Jackie Chan movie, much less my favorite Kung Fu movie of all time. The movie starts with a simple premise of missing Ginseng, and ends with one of the best fight scenes I have ever seen, deciding the outcome of the future generations of Chinese culture. I am not good with reviews, and I am not good with a critical breakdown of such an amazing film. Just know that I wrote this review to state, if you are looking for the English version of this movie with Jackie Chan dubbing himself and that awesome music, you came to the right place. I have watched it about a dozen times since my purchase and plan to watch it many more times. Its Blue-Ray, excellent quality, and exactly what I wanted. Thank you!

Excelente película, doblaje regular
Lo único que no me gustó fue el doblaje al inglés, habría preferido el idioma original, aún así, sigue siendo una excelente película

The Best
There are many Jackie Chan films out there. This is the best, Jackie even agrees that this is his best film! Blu ray conversion looks a bit wonky near the end where the American version here called "Legend of the Drunken Master" (Rather than Drunken Master 2), has a slight change in the ending where in the original Eastern version it has Jackie doing a sort of mongoloid face as he has drunk too much of that industrial strength alcohol, that's cut in this version due to political correctness (wonder what would happen to a box set of 'Til Death Do us Part then???!!!) - it is very funny though! I'm British living in Britain and this was the only way of getting this film after Hong Kong Legends Distributors confirmed they would not follow up their release of the first Drunken Master with this film. The fight sequences in this film are stunning. Thoroughly recommend it, people say Godfather 2 is the best sequel, i beg to differ....
