Good for Android tablets and phones.
I had a micro USB OTG cable and a micro USB to USB type-C adapter but it doesn't seem to work so I ordered this for my Asus Zenpad S 8.0. This is supposed to be used on the Chromebooks but it works just as good on any USB-C android device. I can plug in USB drives, USB to Ethernet adapters and I can plug in USB hubs with a mouse and keyboard.

Not What It Seems
At first glance I felt this was the one, however when I received it and tried to use it, my Macbook 12 didn't recognize it and it would not stay in the slot securely - it fell out several times. I would not recommend this item to MB 12 users. Stick with the Apple Product.

C connecter not as thick as standard.
for transfer cables these reviews are binary, either they work or they don't. This one works, the quality seems good, it gets a star taken off because the C connector is missing less than a mm in thickness so it wobbles in certain connections. I fixed it by placing strip of blue painters tape to one side of the connector.

This adapter worked well between a Targus Universal Docking Station ...
This adapter worked well between a Targus Universal Docking Station and a MacBook, see [...] , but it didn't work a well as others with a Dell XPS12. When connecting to the PC, the "USB device not recognized" message came up, but it did eventually work.

Works, but the connectors are the cheap type. Good connectors have the metal rolled over the edges of the tip, which is stronger, this one is capped in plastic and the metal wrap is very easy to distort as a result. Still looking for an OTG adapter that is as high quality as the cord that came with the Nexus 6pp.

Don't Leave Home Without It
Even if you have no plans to use a USB - you never know! I use the cloud for everything and recognized the need for this adapter when I attended a training and the trainer gave everyone a USB with all the PowerPoints and handouts. Inexpensive and a must-have!

Not compatible with my (or my wife's) Nexus 6P
I have to give this a single star. I've tried this adapter with several (read: I literally mean 10 or more) USB thumbdrives and my Nexus 6P will not recognize any of them. The same USB drives work just fine with my Nexus 6 OTG cable but this one just doesn't work. Sorry.
