Devices itself works great, wouldn't recommend it with NordPass.
Do Not Use This With NordPass!!! They require a network connection for Windows Hello to work with this. Meaning if your network goes down for any reason, this device becomes useless. It does work with Roboform without a network, so that was my solution. It has since worked great on Windows 10 22H2.Commenting on another review that mentions this sticks out and isn't flush, that is because the devices has a light to indicate its waiting for a finger print scan. It doesn't always do this, but they gotta flash that logo for marketing swag. While not ideal for Laptops, since it could easily get bumped and damage the USB port, I use this on my desktop and have no worries.

Gen 2 is much better.
Works so much better than the Gen1 version. I purchased two of the first generation. Horrible false negative rate on both. Gen2 doesn't have a similar issue. Very happy.

Unstable performance, and then it stopped working totally.
This device works for a period of time then lost the fingerprints every week or so. Finally after 4 months, it stopped working. The PC and Windows Hello do not recognize the device. Support did no troubleshooting. They are sending another. I would not buy this again.

Works on Win11 24H2!
I had the older, all-black version of this same product, and it stopped working for Windows Hello when the Windows 11 24H2 update came out earlier this year. I spoke to support, and they didn't have a driver fix, and no ETA on a fix.I was shocked to plug this newer silver one in and discover that IT WORKS! So if you're looking for a fingerprint reader that works after Win 11 24H2 update broke compat with a ton of fingerprint readers (for security reasons), get this one. Works great.

Does exactly what it's supposed to without any issues - supports Windows Hello in Windows 11
I'm unsure why people say this model is slow, as I do not find it true. It works pretty well. It usually registers a fingerprint unless I am at a wide angle to swipe the reader, which is located on my PC. Those times, I may have to line my hand up slightly better. But my PC is on the floor and off-center from me. I never have an issue if I am directly in front of it, and the recognition is nearly instantaneous. I was not required to download any software or drivers in Windows 11. It supports Windows Hello, Bitlocker drive encryption, and FIDO2 passcodes without problems. I would repurchase it.

There's no going back
I thought it would sit inside the USB port, it does not which is a shame as I wanted it to be low profile. Either way it is a huge game changer being able to use your fingerprint for managing account passwords on not only device sign-in but online accounts. Very secure design.Picture this: you sit down at your desk, the PC has already waken up from sleep because your phone is nearby, photos and other docs synced, everything is secure as you've setup Bitlocker and a few other countermeasures, and all you need to do is reach out and touch the bottom of your monitor where the scanner is currently plugged in, and like the press of a power button the whole PC come to life in under 3 seconds you are logged into your desktop, applications auto-booting and bringing up webpages.

Works Great. Easy to install.
I purchased the model for IT. I wanted to be able to move it between a couple of computers that I own. It di not need a driver. I attached it the computer and it automatically recognized it. After installing go to Device Manager. It will create a category called Biometric devices. Just go check that out to ensure it installed correctly. Then go to the 'Setting' applet in Windows and do a search for 'Windows Hello'. In the list of results you should see an option to 'Setup fingerprint sign in. Select it and it will walk through setting up the fingerprint reader. I did not rate Tech support because I did not have to use it.

Poor Quality and Design - Waste of Money
The Kensington VeriMark Gen2 USB-A Fingerprint Key Reader does not work properly in Windows 11 and probably not for any OS. The reader correctly reads about 35% of the time. I reloaded my fingerprint three times in two months and still no improvement. Unfortunately I was past the return time. Instead, for $40 less, I purchased the TEC TE-FPA3, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTGRNPC2 and it works 100% of the time.
