Our old kitchen trash plastic receptacle was about 30 years old and in pieces kept together (sort of) with duct tape. I had been looking in all sorts of stores like Meijer, Walmart, Lowes, Menards, and couldn't find any of the size I needed. I decided I'd try this item from Amazon. The sizes were within 1/8" to 1/16" of what was needed, so I took a chance. It's perfect. It should last a good, long time.

My home came with a built-in under kitchen counter trash can that finally fell apart. After visiting every DIY and hardware store that I could think of and finding none that fit the mechanism for the tapered garbage can, I looked at Amazon online as a final attempt. The "Hardware Resources Plastic Trash Can" was the only listing that even came close to fitting the original built-in mechanism. It was delivered promptly and fit the holder with no room to spare. It is heavy plastic with a rim at the top for easy handling and appears to be easy to clean and maintain. These trash bins were a great fit for my built in trash bin holder in my kitchen! They are sturdy and just what I needed. I don’t use the lids.

The width and height was one inch smaller than the last trash can that I had, but it stills serves its purpose. Looks bigger in the picture. I am happy with the product. I can still use it as a tall trash can in the kitchen.

Perfect replacement for original trash can
