BlueVue3-5/8" Big Overflow Gasket Kit with Overflow Cover for Stopping Tub Leaks, Brushed Nickel

In my case the overflow pipe was installed too low and a significant gap was left on the top that was leaking. We are going to renovate this bathroom when kids are a bit older, so we did not want $$$ repair for whatever reason. This is definitely cheapest DIY solution. The installation was very easy. The item has a great design and will definitely work. The obvious limitation is the bright blue rubber that can be seen from some angles. In perfect world it should be a shade of gray that is matching the color of the metal. It remains to be seen if bacteria will grow over the this soft rubber over time or not. Anyway, this is your cheap and fast option to fix the issue.

Easy to install. Stopped the leak. I believe the tube could be even longer to insert down the existing drain pipe. Easy plug-in play piece of mind.

While designing my custom bathtub I struggled to figure out how to incorporate an overflow. Between the durarock, mortar and rock the distance and textures made using a standard overflow less than optimal. I thought about just using Silicone but was afraid the seal would not take or that a leak might occur. That is when I stumbled across this product. This solved my problem. This worked amazing! The tube crossed the layers and interred the neck on the overflow. I highly recommend this product.

Had old bathtub overflow gasket that was dried. The beveled low cost gasket too thick to get between the tub and opening. Practically no flex from metal tub or copper waste line. Ended up trying this BlueVue kit. It fits, easy to install took a few minutes. Only downside it is 9 times more expensive than just the gasket. But a lot less expensive than hiring a plumber.

Had a leak and the plumber right away saw it was the PVC for the backup drain (in my house built less than two years ago) being too high and not aligned with the backup drain hole on the tub. This left a gap at the bottom which was filled with a gasket but not holding. He adjusted the gasket and said it might hold for a while, but the alternative would be to cut open the adjacent wall to replace the pipe. He recommended looking for a larger cover though even temporarily since the current cover didn't cover the gap, so it actually causes the water to flow into the backup drain quicker. While looking for options, I came across this and both I and my plumber are impressed at this solution! He said now that he sees it, he's gonna buy a few to keep on the truck. Really a great product!

Our overflow drain was not installed completely in line with the hole in the tub, so there was usually a gap with every other cover. This one covers the gap and fits well, the rubber gasket underneath seems to hold it in place well without the metal digging into the tub like normal drain covers. I needed to buy a longer screw for it to tighten up, but otherwise this met my needs well.

Great device. My only complaint is that the blue gasket is quite visible along the side of the cover plate at the cut-outs in the metal of the larger-size cover. It seems a bit more hidden with the smaller covers. Not sure why the silicone gaskets have to be blue (other than maybe it's because of the company name?). A better option for the gasket would be white, to blend somewhat with the color of most tubs.
