Spectre Performance 5727 Chrome Engine Oil Dipstick for Oldsmobile 350/455 V8

After I got the insert from my old disptick oil tube out of the block, I went to work knocking this one in. It didn't take long and it didn't take too much modification either. I'm also using Hedman shorty headers on my Olds 350. I was able to feed the tube down to the hole and gently knock it into the block. I can now check my oil without having to worry if the tube is gonna come away from the block or not!

Nice finish, had to grind down the upper ring to make it fit snugly in the block. Smaller dipstick handle than original but works nice.

I broke the dipstick tube in my 90 Brougham. It has a chevy 350 and the part for a chevy 350 was too short and too straight. This one looked like it would fit and it does. It's not perfect, a little harder to reach and its full for me between the full and add marks but I'm happy because it worked.

Nice product but isn't stock fit, I had to file down the insert ring to seat in the crate hole...unless you'd like to hammer away and break the tube in half.

Dipstick was too small in diameter, waste of money.

The finish of this product is pretty decent for the price however the dipstick tube is different style than the original and is too big to fit in the engine. When compared to my old version the tube before the interference fit was over .03" too big and would not go into the engine. It also did not have the correct bend to clear the headers. The original dipstick does not fit in this tube and that was a disappointment. However I am sure that this tube does work for some applications; I was just hoping to get something shipped to my door quickly and at a decent price.

its a good replacement stick for my olds 350...but i needed to reduce the flare where it enters the block by filing it slightly otherwise it would not go in. I compared the fl;are size w the old stick first so thats How I knew it was to big. The full line is slightly lower than the original stick was as well
