After initially being very disappointed in the lack of ink put on a black surface, I decided to let them sit with the felt tip pointed down instead of the normal tip up posture. There was a world of difference. Tip up is 2 star while tip down is 5 star. Simple! (Don't think about writing overhead with them.)

Nice silver color (really is silver like paint) i use to dates on power tool batteries writes well just dont press hard it’s accurate as long as you dont mush the tip down just a light touch will give a good quality look. It will rub off after awhile in a high touch area so use in area not getting a lot of contact.

A must have and staple. Within my crafting supplies and art supplies. Just an added bonus color. With a needed pop of color for art projects and crafting projects. Recently started using for wood projects.. Constantly of thickness throughout the wood project. Where it was applied to and without and smudging. Even tons where it was applied to.

I have not ordered these Sharpies since I was able to get a 3-pack years ago with gold, silver and I believe copper, but just not sure. Only the silver one has lasted until lately for dark items like clothing that need a name, etc. I did research a white pen which looks to exist on Amazon and works well in black which I currently own--but, again, these have served me well over the years. Hopefully it is the same product as I have not opened thisparticular package yet. The end result is more subtle than white (having tried white-out on an umbrella handle with moderate success) and pleasing. Thank you for the nice product.

Can’t go wrong with Sharpies usually… except I wish the silver lasted longer. I always need them to write my brother’s name on his dark clothes. But the silver definitely doesn’t last as long as other colors. I don’t think that they dry out, it’s just that they don’t seem to write ink as visible for as long. (if that makes sense). And they don’t seem to show up very well on dark plastic. I don’t know what it is about the silver. And I can’t figure out why they can’t make a “WHITE”. I just really depend on this color but they just don’t last.

Great for writing names and phone numbers on the inside of black baseball hats, dark colored water bottle, outdoor gear, etc. We keep at least two of these around the house at all times.

Shows up great on dark items! I use them for marking airsoft magazines and the ink holds up well.
