Ultimate Terrain Europe (2011 has nothing new to add. MFSX is a fantastic flight simulator and I have played for the past 6 years and now when I can. I only wish Microsoft would create a Google Earth update to the global flight map and make it with a higher resolution. This CD really doesn't add any new definition to the game and many of the ground enviroments contradict the ground truth or are inaccurate. Streets overlap buildings and buildings sprout out of the ground hap-hazard. Buildings in southern Germany are the same as in Northern,Eastern or Western Germany. Castles are not represented at all! Ultimate Terrain X Europe is a flop.The Best upgrade I have seen and installed on my MFSX is "Flight Environment X." It has so many unbelievably accurate Sky and Water environments to choose from it truly make MFSX an even better experience. It is made from a German Company but I have had no issues or glitches on my Microsoft HP desktop. If you find it...get itUPDATE: May 2013 I update my review to three stars.I was a little harsh on Flight One in my last review of this upgrade to Microsoft's Flight Simulator X but I still was very disappointed because while the Ultimate Terrain Europe added some things it left out so much of the ground truth in building structures, small cities, and Castles in Europe. I reinstalled Ultimate Terrain Europe just because it did add to certain aspects of the Flight Simulator. However another negative point...you won't find a North American farm grain silo in Germany. But UTE does add to accuracy in roads and highway representation, not in minor city ground truth.I just bought Flight One's 2013 European Terrain. Hopefully this new installment to the Flight Simulator reality will prove to be better...UPDATE: June 2013 Flight One may get a down grade in starsAmsterdam International Airport. Looks great and almost near perfection like the real one...But the Highway/Autobahn does not run right through the flight tarmac of the airport!!!!! It is pretty ignorant for Tech Specialists from Flight One to introduce a fantastic add-on to the Flight Simulator X when the add-on has the highway running (with all the wonderful traffic) right across the runway of the Amsterdam Airport. This is the best software you can find if you are wanting MORE from your flight experience. The other person who wrote a review said that it does not have anything new to ad, but for when the product was released it is the top of the line updated software, with the best bang for your buck. Hopefully a new Europe software with updates will be released with the same quality and quantity as this one. It's worth the money two fold. I would recommend all products from this company because I always feel I get so much more then others that spend too much time on selling gimmicks and not enough time just giving you more real terrain.
