I've been using these cameras since 2017. Just bought my 8th camera today (Aug 2024). very good price. Easy to set up. The app works great and I can also put the cameras onscreen at work from my laptop. Notifications work great, I know within seconds when anybody pulls up in my driveway or walks up on one of my doors. I've never purchased the cloud storage. I rely solely on what is free which is notifications and on demand viewing. So far haven't needed cloud yet. HD looks great and has improved over the years. Some of my older cameras could use an upgrade but if it aint broke, don't fix it. UPDATE: July 2025 just bought 2 more. I’m reducing from 5 stars to 3 stars. Camera is great but the mounts are flimsy. The old ones are great, new mounts break at the slightest pressure. My 2 new screw mounts broke! See pic.

I've owned these for several years and decided to purchase more for home security. The feed immediately connects and the picture quality is better than many others on the market. Night vision and detection is great!! Alarms you right away when motion is triggered. Clips are saved for about a day if you don't want a subscription.

Great new Zmodo cameras, but there’s a catch. Bought these new Zmodo cameras to replace my old ones that worked perfect for years. Figured I’d stick with Zmodo since my yearly subscription would just continue and I would be able to use these cameras and catch the tail of my plan and carry it over to these. Nope! Wouldn’t sync with my Zmodo app and had to download a brand new Smartz App, and purchase a new plan. But luckily I only had a month and a half to go before renewing my plan. These new cameras are great though and the new Smartz App is way easier to configure than the Zmodo was. Only gave it a 4 Star because of the transfer. Also be careful not to drop the housing that you attach to your camera to, for mine slipped out of my hand and shattered.

I already have these cameras but I ruined one unfortunately. I replaced it. Set up is easy and a very good product.

What ever Chinese company that currently owns them can view them and have complete control over them. There is no way for you to run these on your own secure network. The App is loaded full of advertisements that have the false "X" to close out or no obvious way to opt out of the subscription cloud based recording. The App frequently crashes and locks up. They also seemingly cannot maintain one single app. I purchased and used four of these cameras in 2019, then wanted two more now in 2025. Exact same cameras no longer work with the old zmodo app, so now if I wanted to view all my cameras I would need two apps which can't run at the same time. When you go to the companies website it is broken and some text is in Chinese and my adblockers and firewall start alerting to suspicious activity. Out of the four original cameras one randomly quit working completely. The remaining three I had to replace the power bricks as they all sequentially failed. The actual physical quality of the cameras is very good, they are waterproof and last a long time. Be aware the actual software and firmware on the cameras make them impossible to actually own and use as you please. They are tied and locked down to the revolving door of foreign companies that own them on any given day. Don't buy these, as tempting as the low cost is, it's a waste of money as they are infuriating to setup and are the epitome of planned obsolescence.

I have 13 of these cameras on my farm. They work great. Occasionally over time one goes out I keep a couple on hand for replacement. Good clear camera picture. Quality product.

I installed this camera 3 days ago so my opinion may change over time but since amazon sends these review reminders after...3 days, here's my impressions so far: Positives: Easy setup, worked out of the box. The wifi connection range seems good. I'm going diagonally through walls. Total distance, maybe 35'. The smaller power cable connectors means I didn't have to drill too large of a hole in my house. Although there is still could be smaller. For me, the app works. I've read other review that said it didn't. Could it be better?...Definitely! FYI, I write iOS apps so maybe I'm a bit critical. Negatives: Night vision is very poor, basically non-existent. With that said, I live in an area without street lights, so currently it's moonless and very dark. This may change on a moon lite night. It does get briefly better when a car drives by but not very much. It's almost like it's peering through a cloud. Very fuzzy and things are indistinguishable. I haven't enrolled in their cloud service as I wanted to first see if there was anything worth storing. Night videos definitely not! This is my first attempt at a home security camera so I have nothing to compare it too, other than a HikVision camera I purchased and tried to setup and configure. Returned it and bought this camera. Regarding the iOS app: other than "play and pause" there is no video controls. No fast forward or reverse. Video tends to stall and then jump forward. No zoom unless you save the video. Live video has zoom. I'd give the app 1.5 stars.

No las recomiendo para nada Mala imagen al grabar, mala conexión y mal ángulo . Una pared entre la cámara y el modem y no agarra señal, tengo otra akaso a un lado y no batallo para nada . No puedes escuchar ni hablar a través la app. Y en la noche no te da la imagen a color. No tiene botón de factory reset. No tiene entrada para tarjeta micro SD Hubiera quedado con akaso mejor que tirar dinero.
