It works! Plain and simple. If you're wearing socks, tuck the tape into your sock, deep enough that it touches your ankle and the sock secures it in place.Doesn't have to go all the way in, just needs to make contact with your skin to complete the loop.I have a standing-desk fatigue mat made of polyurethane foam/faux leather. Before sitting on my computer, my foot makes contact with it to dissipate any built-up ESD. I touch the keyboard and I no longer have ESD! I prefer this heel strap because I don't have to worry about using an ESD shoe-cover that makes me skid all around. If you're not wearing sneakers, but slippers or moccasins, etc., expect to have the velcro-strap go around the top of your talus on the foot (look it up for reference)If you have a mat that's an electrical insulator, such as polyurethane, this will work. I got these for grounding when going on walks outside. I strapped one on one shoe and left my other foot barefoot. My ground continuity tester tested positive with my bare foot and negative with my other foot with the shoe strap. The part that goes under the shoe looks like it's rubber and not conductive at all. Not sure what the point of this product even is is. 🤷‍♀️ I double and triple checked that I had it on my shoe and tucked into my sock correctly. No idea how other people are grounding with this product.

I purchased this after reading reviews of how people were using these for earthing. It wasn't until I received them that I realized this is not advisable and not what they are made for. I suggest something be put in the description about that.

First thing I noticed was how little I noticed it on my foot! Other straps can feel stiff or too thick and change the way I step, which is why I bought this. I test my foot straps daily and so far it’s passing. This is only my first day wearing them, if there are any issues I’ll update my review.
