I love this purse hook! My only disappointment is that I waited so long to order one!The hook is exactly as pictured in ad, which was a little bit difficult to see on the computer. It is an off white, as ad says "winter white", with a sort of floral/tapestry pattern. I have put this little hook to the test! I usually carry a fairly large and heavy purse (why? I have no clue?). On average, my purse weighs 4-6 lbs - depending what I am lugging around. I have used the hook about ten times at various restaurants with inside and outside dining using all types of tables (plastic, metal, aluminum, glass, wood, granite - in all sorts of sizes up to 2 1/2") Any surface thicker than that the hook won't fit. The round part that sits on the table has a foam backing to protect the surfaces, plus it won't slip off the table.The hook came in a little, black, velvet bag. One thing to note is that this hook does not fold up to a smaller compact size - not an issue for me, but could be for some.I was so fed up with never having a place for my purse - especially my very expensive designer one I use for special times. This little hook is wonderful! I am ordering 6 more for gifts and extras for myself!

I love using this hook when I go out. There is nothing worse than a woman who puts her purse on the floor and then later sets it on the table/ counter top!! That is disgusting!Sometimes at the bar, they don't have hooks or when at a table the chair is round in the back and can't hold your purse. This hook makes it so I don't need a "purse chair" nor have to hold the purse in my lap. It is also better than putting it on the back of a chair where someone can grab it. The hook keeps my purse in front of me right where I can watch it.

I've been looking for something like this for 40 years. Restaurant tables and lunch counter used to have hooks provided for ladies purses so they could keep them close and not on the floor. Now in meeting rooms with ergonomic chairs it is too easy to roll over a purse. New leave home without one of these.

It seems like a lot of tables are thicker than the design of this hook allows. I carry it with me all the time but most of the time when i want to use it, I cannot because it can't hook over the thicker tabletops that are apparently popular these days (I live in NYC). I love the design and the idea, I just wish I could use it more!

My fiance loves the design and the fact it can hold her very heavy purse off the floor. I was going to buy her one of the holders that fold but opted for this one after reading the reviews. The only thing I wish for was that you could fold it up a bit to make it more portable.

This review says the item is a shoe LOL but its a purse hook... I love it. I don't have to set my bag on the floor anymore and you can't imagine how many women have complimented on it. My bag is usually really heavy but this little thing holds it up. Definitely a great accessory for every woman to have. You won't ever have to set your lovely bags down on the floor again. Design is just as beautiful in person.

This hook seems to work just fine so far. I've only used it a couple times but it does what it needs to. The pouch that comes with it is nice to keep it from getting banged up in your purse but the hook tends to slip out of it from time to time. That could be me and how much I jostle the items in my purse daily. Pretty design.

Gave it a 4 because I ordered 4 of them for gifts and one came with a smudge on the side of the floral design. I did not want to give away and am not sure it's worth returning. The remaining 3 are lovely and sturdy. I bought other purse hooks at the same time I bought this one from the same vendor and none of them had problems. Overall, the vendor has very nice designs and good quality.
