GlenfiddichSingle Malt Scotch Whisky, 3 x 5cl

As per usual i decided that, rather than commit to a full sized bottle of good old Glenfiddich 12 year old single malt whisky i would order a set of miniatures to trial out beforehand, i wouldn't have done so at full price, the three miniatures were £16 which was a bit too expensive for me but i managed to get these on sale for £12 which wasn't too bad.I may as well say i have already tried 12 yo before buying these, its a firm favourite of mine and i was in the process of searching for a full size bottle when i spotted these and thought i would sample the 14 and 15 yo varieties to see if it was worth spending the extra on n older bottle. This was a good decision.The 12 yo is a nice well rounded single malt with plenty of depth of flavour, its a tad smokey and a little bit bitter on the after taste and overall a good drink.The 14 yo was something else, this is more flavoursome, its deep and rich and less smokey than the 12 yo, its furthermore sweeter and that bit more refined, the flavour is much longer as well with an after taste that is more subtle.The 15 yo was similar to the 12 yo, its a bit smokey and very well defined with a noticeable strength to it but the after taste is very powerful to an almost overpowering state and that makes it altogether very rich and heavy on the throat which has a knock on effect to the length of flavour. Its very very well defined but its a definition that may need to be toned down a bit in my opinion. Its a nice drink don't get me wrong but it wasn't as smooth or as subtle as the 14 yo.If i was going to buy a full bottle i would buy the 14 yo Glenfiddich but its definitely giving these a try before committing to a full bottle.

Please be aware the photo shows the 12 14 15 year old whisky the 2 boxes I received were 12 15 18 year old. I bought as gifts so not a big problem but I did want to try the 14 year old before I bought the 70cl size but that’s not going to happen and I’m not sure I’ll receive the right age whisky if I did order. Not happy.

Great selection of flavours, a gift for my boyfriend so he could try a new ones to maybe buy bigger bottles later. These are only small bottles but a good taster for choosing new blends.

Nice selection of Glenfiddich whisky which made a special Xmas gift. Arrived very quickly and was well-packed; I was a bit nervous ordering in case of damage during delivery but need not have worried. 5 stars.

I am partial to a good whiskey so I bought this for a friend for Christmas who enjoys whiskey but is loathe to spend the money on the juice.
