What a difference!
I've only been taking this a few days, but what a difference already in my neuropathy!!! After 6+ years as a vegetarian and then vegan, I started getting neuropathy symptoms a few years ago. The research I had read always maintained there was no difference between the two forms of B12 supplements -- cyan and methyl. So I always opted for the cheaper version, the cyan, and took around 500-1000 mcg a day. I believed once I committed myself to a healthier lifestyle -- a low-fat vegan diet rich in complex carbs, no oil, weight loss, regular exercise -- that my neuropathy symptoms would disappear or at least improve. Not so! The healthy lifestyle changes brought an easy 20 lb weight loss, but my feet still really hurt and the numbness wasn't improving at all. Then I came across a recommendation for the methyl B12 -- combined with daily benfotiamine 300 mg twice a day -- for neuropathy. I ordered these two supplements immediately and after only a few days, my neuropathy symptoms are cut in half!!!! This is life-changing already. No pain at night and I can sit and work at my desk without the electric shocks and aching feet that used to suffer through. I'm also feeling more sensation on the bottom of my feet, less numbness.I'll update later on, but for now I'm beyond thrilled with the impact these products have already made on my neuropathy.Edit: It's now almost a month later and my neuropathy has continued to get so much better! I switched over to a liquid form of methyl B12 (it's even better than these pills) and am still taking the benfotiamin. I also just started Lion's Mane supplements 2x a day. So far, so good!

Great vitamin
Really glad I found these. I’ve been using them for about four years. Consistency is key.

Not so bad, the second time.
Here is my original review after taking just one of these B-12 lozenges: “This is, by far, the worst tasting B-12 I have ever experienced. As it dissolves (which takes about ten minutes), it becomes rubbery which adds a very unpleasant texture in the mouth to the already horrible flavor. Do not recommend.” Well, later that morning when I took my other supplements, I realized that I still had the B-12 and was missing an actual medication that is about the same size. OMG! I dissolved a nasty medication that was meant to be swallowed. Oops. So let me revise: This B-12 isn’t the greatest tasting, but certainly not as bad as my medication. I like the idea of the methyl formulation and will definitely buy this product again. And you can be certain that I will double-check before I put anything under my tongue again. Hope this gave you a little chuckle!

A great tasting, easy to take b12 supplement.
When a person is thinking about transitioning to a vegan diet (or has already adapted that lifestyle) it is important that they understand that they are able to get all of the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that they need to live from products other than meat, with the one exception of vitamin b12. That is just not readily available for humans through a vegan diet, unless there is supplementation, which is really important because b12 has a really important role in brain functioning, among other things. If you want more information on this topic, a quick google search will show you some very informative websites.I started taking this chewable vitamin a few months ago and I love it. I get the tropical 2500 mcg flavor, and it definitely tastes fruity and tropical, but not overwhelming, and nothing like a vitamin. In fact, my young nephew loves these so much, he tries to talk me into giving him two every time he is at my house. If the flavor isn't for you, there are a few other options; although they vary in the amount of b12 they contain. When I first started a vegan diet I knew nothing of b12, and in the years since I found out more about different b vitamins and how they work in the human body, I have found my life improved by taking these daily. My sincerest thanks Jarrow Formulas!

Jarrow is the only b12 supplement for me
As a person with b12 deficiency and a genetic predisposition to poor methylation, Jarrow formulas has been my go to for the past decade. I’ve tried other brands but nothing compares to the consistency and quality of these supplements! I usually go with the cherry flavor but I saw this one and thought I’d try it out. I like the flavor, and the price, doesn’t really matter if you get 1000mcg, 2500 mcg, or 5000 mcg, your body will not absorb anything close to that so just pick the flavor you like. I also take the b-right complex at the same time (on empty stomach, to ensure absorption of both). If you need a b12 supplement this is the best folks, the longer you can keep the lozenge under your tongue the better absorption (don’t swallow these! ) and remember that folate is necessary to absorb b12 so take a quality b complex with it! Also always make sure you buy methyl b12, it takes stress off your liver if you have genetic problems, cyano b12 is garbage.

B12 deficiency is crucial
Vegetarians and vegans are 80% deficient in B12, and 5-20% of meat eaters also because of absorption problems, as well as Crohn's and celiac, heartburn drugs, Nexium, Zantac, Pepsid, and older folks due to less stomach acid when aging, or taking the diabetes drug Metformin. Many folks think they can get B12 from fungus or plants but that B12 is not the real one and shows up on some tests as B12 but actually blocks B12. Even vegetarian websites have it wrong! A multi-vitamin may have some B12 but that is not the Methyl kind that is most absorbable. The results of B12 deficiency are a lot, like weakness, cognitive problems, paranoia, and eventually permanent nerve damage, that can start like I did with tingling in the hands (the tingling went away right away). It takes about 4-5 years for symptoms of deficiency to appear. We need very little active B12 per day, so instead of that we can take 2,000 mcg once a week, say every Sunday we can chew and let dissolve this one 2,500 mcg. That means this bottle will last almost two years!
