This product was good value, and unlike most of the others, comes with the filter screen that must be replaced also. The "Easy to Install" got a 1-Star, not because of the product, but because of the nature of where the unit is located on the engine. On my Silverado, between firewall and engine, with about 1" space to get your hand down into. Not easy. After you do it 3 or 4 times, with the right tools, it's easy and about a 10 minute fix. Compare that to $450 at an auto shop. Check out YouTube videos and buy the socket made for this job...makes it easy and no cusssing necessary.

The product is fine. It fits and took care of my issue with the check engine light and 0 oil pressure reading. However, if you are going to install without removing all of the parts recommended by GM, I highly recommend getting the special socket for installing the pressure sensor. I tried using a 27MM socket, which was recommended by a video I found, and it did not go well. I was able to remove the old one without issue but the socket got stuck on the new part so I had to remove it and force it out. The process was a pain and took well over an hour before I gave up. The next day I went to the auto parts store and bought the sensor switch socket (which was only $12) and was able to finish up the job in about 5 minutes. I also used a swivel attachment and extension for my 3/8 socket. So the part is great and installs without issue if you have the right tools.

DO NOT BUY!!!! Product failed 2 days out of the box, when the engine heats up the sensor starts acting weird and drops to almost zero, sometime setting of the low oil pressure alarm. Trouble code I get is P0521. If you need this senor for your gm 07-13 go OEM of a better grade aftermarket product.

2009 Sierra oil sending unit had max pressure which indicates the sensor is failing. This was a direct replacement and I replaced the screen at same time. You can buy the proper socket on Amazon for cheap or if you have a 27mm deep socket. It was a pain to do. 4 hrs for a mechanically inclined person. U tube removal tips before if your willing to try it. Set up for tool: Socket- 3/8 universal joint- 6” extension- 3/8 ratchet. Might need a breaker bar a first but can be final removed and start install by hand.

The oil pressure gauge on my 2009 GMC Sierra had been fluctuating for some time and this fixed the problem.
