These are great little dishes. Perfect for gravy or small items. Pay attention to the description. The bowls are smaller than you think. We will definitely keep them and use them for items other than casserole.

I have been searching for the longest time for a dish to bake my morning apple fritter concoction in and this Rachael Ray Au Gratin dish is perfect. I tried making fritters with crescent roll dough and mix apple pie filling with it and then loosely shape it on a piece of parchment paper to go in my air fryer. That, my friends was a "no go." They never came out too well. Then I tried an 8oz Ramekin, but didn't like the round shape. I know, I'm picky. I think fritters ought to be oblong; not round. So when I found these au gratin dishes I was pretty sure they would work. I took a chance on the size because between the descriptions of the size and the reviews, I could never tell exactly what size they actually were! As it turns out these were the perfect size for mixing the frozen, then thawed, biscuit I use with the canned apple pie filling and cinnamon sugar. I mix the biscuit, apple pie filling and cinnamon all together in the dish, spread it out and then bake it in my air fryer at 350º for 10 minutes. I have a Cosori 5.8 qt. and that time and temp work well. Not sure what other brands of air fryers should be set at. As far as the size of these dishes goes, they are 8" from the outside of one handle to the outside of the other. The overall width is 4.75". The overall height is 2.75" at the handles and 1.75" at the middle. The dish portion is 5.5" across the length of the top of the dish and 4.75" across the bottom. The width of the dish portion is 3.5" across the top and 2.75" across the bottom. The depth of the dish portion is 1.5". I hope this helps with a decision to purchase or not, but from my point of view they are just wonderful!
