Can the width of the stool be altered as well or just the forward back tilt?

No, the width cannot be changed. However, I would have thought that it a suitable cushion could be found to do the job.

What's the max height of this stool with the gas lift fully extended?

Can the seat tilt forwards and backwards?

On mine, the lever by your left hand lets you adjust the height, the lever by your right hand lets you tilt forwards and back again. However, the pictures show at least two different lever variations for this stool, both of which seem slightly different from the version I received, so perhaps this has changed since earlier in the year.

Does this stool tilt forwards?

Yes there are two adjustments, one for height, one for tilt. The two levers are just visible in the picture. My chair still works fine a couple of years after I bought it; I don't play with the settings or move it much but certainly sit on it for hours at a time without issue. My version doesn't have the back rest.
