My brother has this game and I will admit that I am constantly playing on it because it is an absorbing game. Unfortunately there are two major flaws. Firstly the squads are more or less the same as Fifa 08 with a few changes (for example Modric is Spurs' only change.) The other problem is training. It is once every 5 weeks and sometimes your player can be trained to be one of the best players in the world and the next week he is way down on a rating like 25 (for Roy Carrolll, who the previous week had been rated as 64.) If you want a good fun game then you will enjoy this game but if you are a stickler for detail then this isn't for you.

Funtastic FIFA 09
I bought this game for my 10 year old son and he loves it. He plays as a recognised league team or as the team he compiled himself. Action packed and great fun, a fab game for a young footie fan.

FIFA 09 Review
Many people who have played the FIFA games regularly on PS3 or Xbox 360 will think this game is rubbish. They'll think the graphics are bad and that there aren't enough things for you to do. However, as someone who does not have a PS3 or Xbox, i think it's very good for a non-nintendo DS game. It's certainly much much better than the other football game i have had for DS (which was PES '08), which was just dreadful compared to this. The game is very to easy to get the hang of, and with 4 difficulty levels to choose from it'll be a while before it gets too easy. The game features all 4 divisions of the English football league, plus most of the major European leagues (includiong the top 2 divisions in Germany, Spain and Italy). It's not flawless (there are occasional glitches and it's way too easy to have players sent off), but all in all, it's pretty good.

it is ok
My bro has this game and so far its ok...its graphics are bad its it doesnt show you the players age you get red cards to easy and... making tranfers is so unrealistic Now the good points Maneger mode is probily the best thing as you have more fun contriling the team.

Nice Little Game...
FIFA 09 (Nintendo DS) This is not a bad game. It is very fun to play and it is a lot like other Fifa Games. Player faces are not accurate in games although some well known player's faces look the same in team managment. You can do 4000 transfers, and if you are expecting deadline day deals and many other deals to be included then you will be dissapointed. E.g Robinho is still at Real and Berbatov is still at Spurs but you can transfer them to their right clubs. Annoylingly EA have still forgotten to include some players on it. I am a Leeds Fan and some Leeds players like Becchio, Snodgrass, Christie and DELPH!!!! - are missing. Games are really fun although it is easy to get sent off, and in manager mode only a couple of teams will have players booked in each season. Also I started manager mode with Leeds and was given £25million to spend. Other unrealistic features include the fact that I bought Cristiano Ronaldo when I was in League 1. But all in all this isn't a bad little game for those wet sunday afternoons. This was my first Fifa game for DS and despite all of the little problems I'm not dissapointed. A decent buy if you have a spare £15.

absorbing
A great game at a good price, keeps my son (8) amused for very long periods and he has tried most of these foorball games-the best bits are the improved graphics, training a pro, plus it gets harder as you progress in competitions- so none of the mastery and boredom associated with similar football games-also it is much harder than PES evolution. Definitely a winner!
