The media could not be loaded. I LOVE IT, it helps me and my son create a great work....!!! It can warns of overheating by flashing LED lights and automatically powers off. You can see in my video when I plugged in the short tip, and turned the voltage up to over 7V (as user manual, maximum voltage is 5V). This is truly a great innovation. The compact machine costs $26, which is really cheap for a genuine product. The warranty policy of this brand makes me more confident than others. It was amazing and I couldn't have asked for more. My Halloween project is almost finished.

When I first started using this - I was pretty frustrated. It was not performing the way that I expected. However - the more I used it - my technique improved greatly. It takes some practice to get the hang of how to use it. Once I figured out what I was doing (right & wrong) - it was a breeze to use. I am glad I did not give up. I love the tombstones I made for Halloween!

Using this to cut through styrofoam is a skill I obviously do not possess! I couldn't cut a straight line if my life depended on it! It does heat up extremely fast so if you have to turn your back to it for even a minute, I suggest you turn it off, especially since the stand that comes with it isn't worth a penny. I would recommend if you are looking for something like this; but just understand, that you will need practice in order to accomplish the task you want to do!

On the first try, all 3 attachments worked. They heated up, and cut fine. However, the engraver tip wouldn't work after that. I figured I could get by with the remaining 2 attachments. They worked fine for another month. Then the long cutting tip died. I'm making a huge terrarium, and I have to stop my work while I wait for a decent foam cutter to arrive. I'm very frustrated. It ought to have lasted much longer. Hopefully if you buy this, you will get lucky and maybe yours won't quit after only a month. I doubt it.

Does exactly what it says, I've only had it for a short while so I can't speak to its lifespan but its been putting in work so far.

I loved it at first. I got it for cutting foam stuff for cosplay. But the button for hot and went into the handle and stopped work. It felt like it melted into the handle. I even tried to use my finger nail to get the button back out. Before that the button wouldn't turn off so I'd just unplug it when I was done. I used if for a week then it went and bit the dust..... Sad because OMG was it awesome at first.

Well constructed. Did what I needed. Will say, one needs a sturdy hand!!

I was really excited to use the product. It was easy to assemble and figure out as a first time Hotwire user. It worked for about an hour and then the main tool the “U” looking piece stopped working. I was really disappointed that it crapped out. I don’t recommend if you are looking for a long time use.
