This Chiminea far exceeded my expectations in its sturdiness, size and design. The body is a strong cast iron and has a convenient opening to access the grill inside. It comes with a drawer to easily clean the inside after use. It also comes with a poker so you don’t need to purchase separately. Wish it came with a cover because the one I ordered has taken longer than expected to arrive. Luckily we have had no rain. The instructions were easy to understand. I gave a four stars on ease of assembly because it requires patience and time to properly build such an item. Be careful with the screws and bolts because it doesn’t come with extras. But the ones it comes with are packaged and labeled well. Assembling the base is simply following directions but when you add the heavy cast iron body you really need to work to match up the screw holes. Turn it around and find the best possible scenario for the holes to match up then screw the screws in half way at first before finally tightening. It is recommended to have two people assemble but I was able to on my own. I’m a 56 year old woman and assembled it by myself in 2 hours. (I’m the person in my household who enjoys assembling things) Cast iron can rust if not kept clean and protected from humidity. Make sure to read about maintainence so you can keep it in good condition. All in all I’m very pleased with this beautiful Chiminea! Looking forward to using it in the chilly weather this fall.

Ran across one at a camp ground we stayed at. We loved it so much we bought one from amazon. Easy to assemble and very enjoyable to sit around on a cool evening. Made from cast iron and very durable.

Nice little chiminea. Aesthetically appealing for sure. Not overly complicated to put together, but it will take one at least 20-30 min due to small hardware and tight areas to install them. One complaint - others have noted, it is rather small. So it limits the size and amount of wood you can place inside the burn sphere. Wish it was 2-3” bigger in diameter. Then it would be outstanding!So prob a good option for those with smaller area for use. For my backyard and large patio...eh it’s ok. Also, highly recommend a cover. The one I got on Amazon was like $16 and beyond with it.

This is a very well made, very large chiminea. It took my hubby a bit to assemble but it's worth it and we love the thing. We've already had a big fire and had the neighbors over for s'mores. It was packaged really really well and didn't have a scratch on it from shipping. And I was able to repurpose the very large box and styrofoam into a cozy winter home for the outdoor cats. They are so happy and warm!

For the money this is a great chimnea. This is the second one of these I have bought and the only reason for buying a second one is that I gave the first one away to a neighbor when I moved. This is made of some cast metal so when it gets warmed up it really radiates the heat well. I also like that everyone can see the fire no matter where they sit around it.

I needed a chimenea with a back since my patio is rather small and surrounded by plants. I didn't want an open-on-all-sides chimenea because it might have produced too much heat and killed my plants. I was glad to find this chimenea. It works well, and I bought the cover separately to keep it looking nice.

This is a very nice Chimnea. Very nice looking, good size. Heavy Iron, so durable. However, it is very hard to get the fire to stay lit because of the open screen all around. Wind will blow it out, and you cannot get a good blazen large flame going. We had a clay chimnea for 20 years and we would get bon fire's in that. The fires always stayed burning strong. I also do not think the Metal one will last as long as the clay. It also has steel legs on it, not Iron.

Recently moved to a neighborhood with a lot of trees. My wife wanted a fire pit but I wasn't sure of the safety so I reached out to our local Fire Marshal and he recommended we opt for a chiminea instead as it helps control the fire while still maintaining the ambiance of a wood burning fire. This chiminea is great as it gives a 360 view of the fire. The ash tray helps simplify clean up after each use. The chamber is large enough for 3-6 logs at a time.
