Great things come in small packages. This is one of those things.
After reading the review from D. Rice. Having an Olympus E-PL5 myself, I thoughtwhy not give this a try.Unboxing:I opened the package and pulled out the box. There was no tape holdingit shut, this is fine because the box is a little tough to pull apart. Once the lidwas off the box, it has its own molding that goes around the flash and flash bounce. Both were in a protective plastic sleeve. Which made pulling it out rather easy.Pulled the molding up out of the box and the instruction book, carry bagand flash stand were underneath.Usage:Did a quick read through the manual and popped in 2 AA batteries. It took a little time to charge up at first, think I had weak batteries.I put two new Duracell's in and it charged up a lot faster.Took a few test shots and was VERY impressed. I was a little worriedabout the TTL as I've read some Sony reviews which were so-so, but thisis an Olympus :D The TTL works great! Flash recycle time is very, very impressive.(recycle times were not done with full power)(TTL as I just read from another review, does work on wider apertures,I do not have any lens wider than f/3.5 but from my use it does showup on the LCD what aperture you are using and gets correct exposure)I had the bounce on for all my test shots, which you can see I uploaded. The flash has that micro rubber texture on it. It feels smooth but not slick. The three LED lights are at the top of the flash head and illuminate well.I had left the LED's on prior to firing off a flash, they do remain on and willadd a little more light to the subject. So be aware of that.My test subject was a German Shepherd. Will be testing and using it more later.May do a video review also, not sure yet. I would HIGHLY recommend this flashto any Olympus/Panasonic/Leica M4/3 owner (which uses the same hot shoe pin setup).Forgot to take a photo with flash on the camera. It is not as big as other flash unitsI've seen. It is not super small but compact and could slip into a jacketpocket or purse nicely.Had been using a few older or 3rd party flashes which ran in manual mode.Only one had safe voltage to use on the E-PL5. Other's ran off of 9-Volt batterieswhich had over 200 volt output. Those I used on slave triggers.A side not of caution, using flashes not made for your camera's hot shoe could/cando major damage and burn out the camera or worse. There are many places on the netto look up voltage for most but not all flash models.the flash slave trigger I use are from here. they work great for Canon flashes. Optical Flash Slave Trigger Hot Shoe Sync Adapter With PC Socket & Sensor For Canon JSYK-3A JJC All in all, I could not be happier with this purchase. To date, it may just be thesingle best purchase from Amazon. I can't wait to start shooting more photoswith this flash.

This Flash Saved The Day!
This flash is excellent addition to my Olympus E-PL5 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 14-42mm Lens (Black) . I was taking pictures at a bowling alley birthday party for my daughter's friend a couple of years ago with the included, but tiny FL-LM1. The dark of the bowling alley was too much for the flash. Even at ISO 800 and 1600, the shutter was still too slow to catch moving kids and I wound up closing up shop for the day after maybe 20 pix. Theme is consistent with the E-PL5; anywhere that is illumination challenged pix were bound to be spotty. I didn't want a full sized flash like the YONGNUO YN-565EX II TTL Flash Speedlite With High Guide Number For Canon 6D 7D, 70D 60D, 600D, XSi XTi T1i T2i T3 hulking over my micro 4/3 camera (works wonderfully on my Canon EOS 40D 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens though), so I figured I would take a chance on the NW320. Best gamble I took on Amazon to this day! The NW320 seems sturdy and well made and for less than $100 I couldn't complain. Returning to the same bowling alley for my daughter's birthday party, this flash was able to cut through the dark on ISO 200 capturing kids in action at distance. The flash cycled well on 2 SunLabz® AA Rechargeable Batteries (4 Pack) Highest Performance NiMH 2800mAh . Even after 250 pix, I didn't notice any recharge lag. This was 1 day out of the box with NO re-configuring any of the settings. I know, I should not have done this, but the flash still performed remarkably well. The only thing I did change was to update the Oly's firmware to v1.5 since this was a newer model (no pun intended) flash. This flash really extended the usefulness of the E-PL5 and now tips the scales in its favor. Now my 40D is being reconsidered for the eBay pile. (just the body... I know, who wants an 8yo 10mp full sized DSLR body these days...) I'll do some fine tuning on the flash/camera settings and and check to see what firmware updates are available (has USB port for updating) and report back. Also note that this flash comes with a diffuser (which I forgot to use...) and has a metal hotshoe. I recall my first Canon Speedlite (old 177A on my AE1) broke two plastic shoes and left me stranded. I don't expect the world, just at least 2 ~ 3 years of use, or if I'm lucky I can still use after 35 years like my Speelite 177A!

Great value for money - Works with Panasonic GX7
This speedlight works wonderfully with my GX7. The lack of reviews made this a bit of a gamble, but for $79 at time of purchase I figured I' take the gamble. The gamble paid off. This is a very good compact speed light for Micro Four Thirds bodies.First the build quality: Surprisingly good for an off brand speedlight. The plastics feel high quality, similar to those used on some of panasonic's more budget friendly lenses. (like the 25mm f/1.7 or the 42.5mm f/1.7). The buttons seem to be made of either aluminum, or some metallic analogue and, while small are easy enough to manipulate. The performance of the speed light is par for the course. Works great for bounce indoors in my apartment, and the direct flash with the included diffuser is pleasant and even across the frame when used with my panasonic 42.5mm f/1.7, communicating accurately with the Panasonic GX7 for metering and exposure compensation. The only oddity is that the TTL doesn't recognize apertures wider than f/2.5. This isn't to say it won't work if you go wider, I was getting good shots at f/1.8 and f/2 with my GX7 but it is still something to keep in mind.In summary: Great inexpensive compact flash for MFT cameras. I would definitely buy again for $79.

Very positive initial impressions
I originally bought an Olympus FL 300R flash gun for my OMD EM10 mk2 camera at a cost of £135. I was appalled at how cheap and tacky it was with its nasty plasticky construction, easily scratched silver finish and flimsy battery door. Not only that the light output was poor as well, perhaps OK as fill in flash over short distances, but in terms of overall value for money I was very disappointed and returned it. I researched a little more thoroughly and found this model of flash gun, which is sold under various brand names, this particular model being suitable for my camera. I am delighted with my purchase. The body is solid, matt back plastic and has a sturdy feel to it. Included is a snap on diffuser, a black nylon bag and a foot for off camera use. There is even a micro USB socket to charge rechargeable batteries. The whole thing feels altogether more robust than the Olympus. More importantly it works very well with a much better light output. The small screen showed that it connected with the TTL system and that light output was adjusted as the aperture varied. I am still getting to grips with it, but at 40% of the cost of the inferior Olympus offering I am very pleased with my purchase.

CALIDAD PRECIO INCREIBLE!!!!
