Hotpoint DHS53X S Dual Grill Element 2660W - Top Oven

Arrived early. Ordered due to old element not working on one side. Straight swap. Now realised the old one was not getting as hot on both sides before it broke. Should have changed sooner.

Just the right size and works great.

I had someone install it for me but I don’t think it was a problem.

One side of the grill stopped working, so I had to look up the cost of getting somebody in to replace it - as I have no idea how such things work. You might as well ask me to fix the Large Hadron Collider.The oven's manufacturer was going to charge a minimum of £180, which seemed a tad steep, especially when I saw the cost of the actual part (£16.85 at the time of review). Some on-line videos showed a complicated process that involved removing the back of the oven, but as mine is integrated, I couldn't believe it would be such a ridiculous process.So, I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go. It was surprisingly simple.Two screws attach the grill to the back of the oven. Undo these and gently pull the element free. A wire is clipped onto each of the element's end connectors. Pull these free and attach a peg or suchlike to the end of these wires, to stop them creeping back and vanishing into the back of the oven.Attach these wires to the end of the new element, by merely pushing them back on, re-attach with the two screws and that is it.It worked straight away, with a little smoke from it initially while it burned off dust/whatever.
