Cute and Fun!
This Popin’ Cookin’ kit is a fun, hands-on candy activity. The instructions are easy to follow and everything you need is included. The real enjoyment is in making it — the finished candy is cute and sweet, even if it’s more about fun than flavor. Great for a quick activity or something different from regular candy. Would buy again.

We love these!!!
My kids love doing these they say there always cooking when they make these. All the adults who have tasted them think they are better tasting then American candies which is true! They are a great fun little project that is super cheap and fun!

Fun and Easy Craft – Great Gift for Kids!
I bought this as a gift for my 11-year-old daughter and one of her friends (also 11, a boy), and they absolutely loved making it together! The instructions were clear and simple—they were able to complete the whole project on their own with no adult help, which made them feel really proud and independent. The finished product actually looked like the picture on the box, which doesn’t always happen with kits like this! It turned out super cute and was a fun activity for both of them to enjoy. They didn’t totally love the taste of it—LOL—but that’s to be expected with treat kits like this. Everyone has different tastes, and honestly, the fun was more in the making than the eating. It’s the perfect mix of a craft and a treat, and a great little activity for kids around this age. Highly recommend as a creative gift idea!

My kiddo says these taste terrible but they are fun to make!
So, we don’t really buy these with the intent to eat them anyway…it’s just fun that you “can” eat them if you want to. It’s more of messy fun miniatures experience that kind of gives the same fun feel as making your own slime. I’d say if your child is about 8, they can probably do this on their own with just your supervision but they probably won’t need a lot of help. The end product likely isn’t going to come out quite as beautiful as the packing, even if you are an adult artist, like myself. LOL The ingredients are a little fiddly, clumpy and sticky so they aren’t the easiest to work with but if you and/our your kids can let go of the need for it to be perfect, you can have a lot of fun with this. Most of it tastes either just sweet, sweet and fruity or sweet and chemically…and then the cola tastes like cola but very chemically. I’d say it’s fun to “taste” but not to “eat”. Haha I wish I could remember when we did this one so I could attach pics because it was cute, but also a bit of a dumpster fire. 🤣 I’d recommend these because they are inexpensive fun for anyone above about 8 years old, unless you plan to offer a lot of help. PS Your hands will get messy!

How to keep kids off electronics
My grandsons love putting the Kacie/Poppin Cookin kits together. They also love eating the treats they made. It has been a great way to entertain the boys as it takes about a half hour to prepare the candies. Some of the kits are only in Japanese but don’t let that discourage you. Go to Lucky Penny on YouTube. Search for Kacie or Poppin Cookin kits to see how he does them in English. He has done them all so just scroll through by picture. We started these kits when the boys were 4+ but they aren’t really able to do them alone until they are 8 or so. I know the kits are pricey but I think we got our money’s worth in entertainment.
