I bought two of these kosher odorless Shofars for two Jewish friends. They both love the one they each received as a gift.One recipient already possessed a family one. However, she claimed this one was prettier, because it is nicely, thoroughly polished and has different colors. Apparently, some Shofars are rather crude and not so nicely polished. Some apparently have a trace of an odor. Hers is truly odorless and so is the other recipient’s Shofar. She even tried blowing it. She claimed that she needs to practice more with the blowing. Apparently, the family one has a little odor of some sort, which had always made it undesirable for blowing.The other recipient did not even possess one. He might have in the past but did not have one until recently. He truly loves his new one. He also practiced blowing his. He is withering away with a respiratory problem. However, that did not stop him from trying it out and listening to its special sound. He is going to order a stand for his. I was not even aware that they were to be displayed on stands. I just thought one puts them up on a mantle or lays them nicely on a shelf.I am Christian and have never seen a Shofar in 3D. Obviously, I have no idea what one could smell like. I looked over and inspected each one before giving them to their recipients. They were different sizes, but both were between 12 and 14 inches long. They both had an attractive twist or curve to them. Because neither of them was mine, I did not even try to blow either of them. So, unfortunately, I have no idea how each one sounded when blown!Despite Shofars being a bit alien to me, I thought both of them were very attractive! I plan on buying one for myself.

The Horn I received is not wide at all even at the large end, the mouth is quite flat and wider then expected, there is one place that may become a problem over time & as expected it stinks (If it doest stink then it's most likely manmade and not from a Ram) , yet over all this little ram's horn is a beautiful piece of nature. One cannot expect all to look alike or behave alike just as one cannot expect the same in humanity. This horn is beautiful because it is a gift from HaShem from His creation. That being said. I took this Shofar out and attempted Tekiah , the tone was very nice and beautiful. Then Shevarim and this was just as easy to preform and beautiful , so to was Teruah. Yet best of all was Tekiah Gedolah! It came out beyond my expectations for such a little Shofar! Very beautiful tone with little effort. My greatest joy in this Shofar is that HaShem answered my plea when I ordered this, to forgo pride in the biggest or most beautiful and to gift me with a Shofar that stirred up repentance within. The tone does just that and calls to my soul to return back to my Creator. It is a reminder for me to forgo pride for that which is far greater ... a relationship with the Eternal One.

Very good looking shofar. Purchased for display only, so I haven't attempted to blow it. I am disappointed that the description states that it would be between 15-18 inches in length. The one I received measures 13 inches in length. After waiting a month and a half for delivery I decided it wasn't worth returning and waiting to receive a replacement. I made the simple mount myself from an oak board.

It came in perfect condition even though it was not packaged great.. I was nervous when I saw it because I thought it's going to be cracked or busted but thankfully it wasn't ..it still has a very faint death smell but that can be taken care of with a little cleaning and some oils but it's definitely beautiful and worth the money I got it for worship sessions.

This is--by far--the best Shofar that I have ever held in my hands. Well, ok...it's the ONLY Shofar that I've ever held in my hands...but it is great. Great sound, nice finish, no odor, good size, leather pouch is a nice plus and the book is a great help (for a guy who grew up Lutheran and has spent a lifetime seeking the Truth). (I'll let you know if I find it). Well worth the money, and highly recommended.

The size is perfect and sounds great! Very easy to use, especially following the instructions in the booklet that came with it.
