LOUD! Wakes up the neighbors. But as a volunteer fire fighter - I love it. Just remember it is DC. For it to work, you need a AC to DC device. (I missed that part, but when purchased and installed - works GREAT!)

Great for the price
This bell worked great for us. We are using it for a storm notification system for our office. It's loud enough to be heard on each floor.

Best Gag Project Ever
My special lady does admissions for a local K-12 private school. She joked that she wished she had a giant red button to push and ring a bell a la the "We Got One!" moment in Ghostbusters every time she recruited a new student. With a little wiring and woodcraft her wish was fulfilled. I was worried that the 12VDC version would sound anemic. It does not.

A better bell for the teenager's alarm clock.
I used this with a 12V output from my Sonic Alert alarm clock. It worked perfectly. It's plenty loud enough to wake the teenager. It was easy to mount.

3rd purchased, first 2 failed
this is the third one I have had to purchase. Seem to only last 2-3 months, they work great then just fail. I assume this one will do the same thing but I was in a pinch to get this working so had bite the bullet. Am checking for a better alternative.
