Best product for only hair
Finally, a vegan shampoo and conditioner for oily hair! For several years, since the hair products I used for 40 years were discontinued, I have not found any comparable. I've used Desert Essence products for the same amount of time, but did not know they made hair products. The shampoo thoroughly cleans my hair and smells oh so good. The real test was the conditioner. All that I've tried left a waxy residue on my hair that not only flattened it, but left it greasy looking. This conditioner leaves my hair clean feeling and looking shiny and soft. I will never use another product as long as Desert Essence continues to provide me with clean, shiny, soft hair.

First ingredient is NOT water!
My favorite part about this shampoo/conditioner set is that the first ingredient is NOT water. I had been using a shampoo bar in order to avoid a lot of the nasty chemicals/fragrances in regular shampoo/conditioner, but could not quite get acclimated to it. I wanted to go back to a "normal" hair washing routine. Have tried many products in the past, but all of them were still considered "dirty" in regards to the ingredients. This is rated a 3 on the Think Dirty app, which is still in the green range. So excited about that, as I truly believe the fragrance in most products is what causes my cycles to be so painful (note, more than just shampoo/conditioner has been changed to reverse my painful period side effects). The scent of this combo is refreshing but not too strong. I can barely smell lemon while my hair is drying and it doesn't smell strong at all once dried. My hair remains clean through the end of the second day, when I need to wash again (am of day 3). I typically have semi-oily hair by the next morning of hair washing days. That is nice! I think I am using too much product though, as my hair is long so I am going through the tube of conditioner specifically fast. IDK what it is, but I really have to squeeze both tubes for the product to come out, so I think it is actually forcing me to use less - maybe that is the point. OR it is the lack of water, which in turn makes the product thicker. Overall, still out on a verdict if my hair remains healthy as I have only used this for 1 week or so. Pretty happy start!

Works great for me - seal is a pain
This is my favorite shampoo & conditioner from this product line. The lemon scent is really nice. The Tea Tree Oil is what it is - not my fav. But the product is good for me. I hate the seal, which is really stuck on there good & I usually forget to take off until I’m in the shower & my hands are wet. More than once I have had to take it off with my teeth. It’s super annoying when the tab breaks & it requires nails, teeth & other sharp implements to get it to come off. One can’t see the seal from the outside of the container. On the upside that sucker is sealed. I like almost all of the other scents of the this line better, but this is the one that works for me. It lathers well & thickly, which I love. The conditioner is a very thick cream that sticks well until rinsed, I don’t notice any issues with it not rinsing cleanly. I wish it came in a bottle twice the size with a pump. The lid is not easy to do one handed & its rigid enough to be difficult for me to squeeze out that last useful dollop. There is some waste because of that. It seems to be relatively gentle on the rest of my skin & I think it might actually moisturize it a little. It’s a little pricey for my taste, not just on Amazon, but wherever its available for purchase. Amazon is not usually cheaper. Best price is often Natural Grocers or the like.

Great for oily hair
This shampoo is very good for managing oily hair. I was able to decrease my hair washes from once daily to three times a week. The conditioner is also good but recommend using it very sparingly, I only use it on my ends as contributes to my hair becoming oily faster if I use it on my scalp. Love the shampoo.

Works and smells great!
This is my favorite shampoo and conditioner ever! I've always had problems with my hair getting oily very quickly and All my life (60+ years) I've had to wash it every day or use a good amount of dry shampoo on days between. Using this Lemon Tea Tree duo, I can a skip washing every other day and my hair doesn't look weighed down or greasy. The shampoo lathers beautifully and the conditioner has an especially wonderful fresh lemon scent. It's not a heavy conditioner, but I am still careful to rinse very well. I have received my second set of this, but am forcing myself to use up all of my old shampoos before I break into the new set. ;)

Doesn't help with oily hair
I gave this product a chance before writing a review, I've been using it for almost 2 weeks and it doesn't help with oily hair. Maybe it takes more time, I'm not sure, just giving my experience so far. I cant stand anything lemon smell but was desperate to find anything that would help with oily hair ( my hair is oily the same day of washing!) Although it doesn't help with oil, it definitely gives your hair a healthy shine and makes it soft.

Great Shampoo Conditioner - my hair is clean!
I've been searching for a shampoo and conditioner that is low on chemicals and does not have soy or wheat (due to allergies). Also I didn't want something that was really expensive for a tiny amount. So happy I found this product!! My hair feels so clean, all of the residue is gone and my hair is really soft and light! The smell reminded me of Pinesol BUT my hair does not smell like that. It's smells lemon-y which I am ok with that!

it smelled great and definitely made my hair feel silkier--which I wasn't ...
I was really excited for this purchase because I suffer from oily hair and occasionally get an oily patch of hair, near the back of my scalp. From research, it seems to be due to an overproduction of sebum and/or possibly related to a fungal infection. I was hoping that this shampoo and conditioner would be my saving grace, but unfortunately it didn't do much. So it's back to the drawing board for me. :( However, it smelled great and definitely made my hair feel silkier--which I wasn't expecting from a product aimed for oily hair.
