This product does a good job of covering my gray hair for a very reasonable price. Also, I appreciate that it doesn't have a strong odor and seems to be gentle on my hair. I do leave it on for at least an hour to be sure the color has time to be absorbed well. The shade I use matches my hair color very well and it looks professionally done.

I’ve been using this brand for years. It’s so easy to use and it doesn’t damage my hair like permanent dyes. Which is a huge bonus for covering grays. My hair grows fast so I need to use it every week or two. I don’t have to worry about putting harsh chemicals on my hair frequently. It smells pretty good too. My hair is resistant to dye so I leave it on a little longer than recommended, but again no harsh chemicals to worry about.

First two photos are before (absolutely no color treatment) and the second two are after day after i used it in the shower. I shampooed my hair as normal then towel dried, then got out of the shower and used the treatment in about two or three layers and i used about half the bottle before everything was thoroughly saturated.Since i havent washed once again, i will add a photo of the grey coverage after first wash.But overall i am happy with the amount of grey coverage and this product does seem to do what it says. I may choose another color next time because i don't care for the greenish tint, which is why i gave it four stars. But overall i love the price and effectiveness.I love natural hair but i also hate that i have a full head of grey at 25. So i think this is great for people that like minimal treatment.

It’s great if you are trying to grow or your grey. It will wash out fully and lasts me about 3-4 washes. The before picture is of the side of my head because I am only coloring the top and the after pictures show the color that I get.

This hair color is marketed as a semi-permanent option with no developer/peroxide, but it is not the same as a color-depositing shampoo and is nowhere near as gentle. While it's true you don't have to add a developer, whatever the "oxidation" process is which is loosely described on the label, it smells exactly like developer when it's on your head (typical box color fumes), and you can expect the same results as you might get from a demi-permanent color like Natural Instincts. Depending on how healthy/damaged your hair is to begin with, and how long you leave the product on, you will be altering hair texture, and be prepared to have this color for a long while. It does NOT wash out easily/quickly, or at all. The limited range of tones available combined with strong effects means you are taking a huge risk. There are some great results in the photos from other reviewers, and I'm glad that for some people who know what they're doing/get lucky, it worked out. But be very careful, and if you do try it don't overdo it on the application time. I was excited to try it based on those results pics, but now I am stuck with a tone I don't want and it's not washing out at all, so I'm back on the hellish journey of trying to correct bad home color. There's a reason it's so inexpensive.

I have tried other hair dye without ammonia, but they still dried out my hair. This is different - my hair is in great shape after using it. It is also economical - one bottle lasts for two applications on long hair.

My long-term use of this product attests to its efficacy. However, I deducted two stars due to inadequate packaging; the product arrived with a compromised seal, resulting in dye contamination of other items and my hands. Despite this, the product itself remains excellent.

Love love love. Won't be without this. I have very dark hair with white coming in at the crown. This tints the whites just enough for them to blend in. Super easy to use and great for in between permanent colorings. I keep it in for 25 minutes and still condition afterward even though it says not to. It still works for me.
