Sea to Summit X-Bowl

We use our x-bowls as bowls and as plates when out camping. They have gone backpacking in Isle Royale, flown to the West for adventures in Rocky Mountain, the Tetons, and Yellowstone; they've filled our bellies after a day of roaming through Shenandoah and Mammoth Cave, and after taking in all Acadia and October leaf peeping had to offer.They are sturdy, easy to wash, the bottom serves as a cutting surface without fear of puncture, and they are lightweight. Basically anything in the x-line is something we use and recommend, and it is totally worth the price!

I'm sure this is great for the camper and overnight backpacker, but quite honestly I purchase this to use with take out soup. My job has me traveling and staying in hotels each week and sometimes at the end of the day all I want to do is order delivery food to my hotel room. Most of the time restaurants bring you your soup in styrofoam or paper containers. The Sea to Summit Plate is perfect because it folds almost flat and slides neatly into my work backpack and if the soup needs to be heated up in the microwave I can do so.

I don't use this for eating, but as a place to throw the contents of my pockets (keys, pens, hotel room cards, flash drives, etc.) when I'm traveling. When I get to my hotel, I just expand and plop everything in there. No more lost stuff while your normal routines are on hiatus.

This is a great bowl that I take with my on my travels so I can make instant oatmeal in my hotel room. It pops up with ease (in spite of my arthritic hands), folds nice and flat, washes easily, and is just what I needed. I have only one complaint: it's softness makes it impossible to pick up with one hand like you would a hard-sided bowl. More than once, I've tried to pick it up by an edge and it starts collapsing. So for portability, consider that you will need two hands to move it/hold it and/or you'll need to put it on a plate or tray for carrying. Otherwise, it's perfect, and I love the color (chartreuse).

I bought this as a general camping bowl and i have nothing but good things to say about it. I have two, and both are good quality outdoor dishes. They do well with hot food. You can feel the warm food (which is good on a cold day) but it isn't uncomfortably hot.The base is good cutting board, but i wouldn't cut too hard or you will make divots in the plastic. cleaning is a breeze and it doesn't seem to absorb any food odors.I have two of these bowls and two of the collapsible cups together with a bunch of other cooking stuff in an MSR stowaway pot. It makes the perfect higher end cook set up. The main advantage to these is definitely the size factor. They fold to about a half an inch thick,

As I reviewed the larger bowl already, I'll just say this is worth the money and does a great job. I love that I can heat up food in it with my Hot Logic Mini and not have any taste other than my food. It works better than I thought it would.

I replaced the existing bowl and cup in my mess kit with the X Bowl and X cup to help free up space to carry additional items that I wanted in my mess kit.I have used these several times and love how easily they they break down and stow away. Clean up is easy and quick as well.

Bought four bowls and four cups plus a collapsible pan to use while camping in Yellowstone. When collapsed cup fit into bowl and 2 sets into the pan so small foot print. Perfect for coffee, soup and hot oatmeal. A little pricey, but they worked great!

Bought to use in our campervan where storage space is at a premium. They are great. You have to hold the bowl from underneath but the base is thick enough to insulate from hot contents. The rubber came clean after tomatoey pasta sauce looked like it might stain it which I was delighted with. Would recommend.

A great little expandable bowl. It'll take up hardly any space in my rucksack and gives the impression of quality. Yet to be used in anger but I have no doubts it will perform as promised.

I keep one of these in the back of my wheelchair, and use it for my Assistance Dog on a daily basis for giving him water, and it doubles as a feed bowl when away from home. Only problem is everyone thinks I'm giving him coffee or Coke due to the black base

This is such a simple useful, yet useful product. Great to take on holiday for the kids at the beach. Excellent quality and virtually indestructible.
