Great toy for toddlers and adults alike!
Bought this for granddaughter (she is 3 yrs old) and it looks very solidly built and easy to change the sequential parts around. We have only just been able to deliver it and give it to her over the fence due to lockdown. She loves it! She did get a little frustrated as she expected it to 'follow' her but I'm sure she'll get the hang of it quite quickly. You can also buy an extension pack which gives you extra options and longer sequences. We'll let her get the hang of what is currently available before purchasing the additional pieces. We were worried that the batteries wouldn't last long but they at least survived our visit. We are considering buying rechargeable batteries for it though to keep the little one happy.

Educational and Annoying... the perfect present for someone else's child
It made a 3-year old stop playing with Elsa dolls and instead push USB sticks into other USB sticks to make a (bigger than you'd imagine) caterpillar make funny noises and crash into things in the living room. Maybe the best thing I can say is when I visited my friend later he'd taken the batteries out... his daughters eyes when I put them back in and she heard the little caterpillar come back to life.Educational and annoying... the perfect present

Good but loud
Really good toy! Excellent for teaching a 4 year old sequences, basic coding principles and to some extent communication! The noise however... good lord it’s annoying! And so bleeding loud! I haven’t found a volume control yet and I’m tempted to open it up and disable the sound.Still... the kid likes it.

Superb
I love this, but heres' why:It comes well packaged and once opened is very well made and solid. The code-a-pillar essentially is made of many segments with each one dictating an action. They all interlink via chunky usb connectors essentially. This is really good and encourages the concept of coding/programming and logic skills. I like you can buy replacements and extra segments easily and it really is a joy to play with with my son.It coped fine on carpet and hard surfaces, though hard surfaces are best. The only minor downside is the volume is not adjustable and some may find it too intrusive. My son has had rough moments with the toy too and its coped really well, its very solidly made.

A great learning tool — and endless fun!
The four year old loves it – and so does her little brother! While I'd like for it to have a volume control (it really is very loud), the sounds it makes are fun and engaging for the kids. They love watching this little guy wiggle his way across the room, and the four year old is already starting to understand the cause and effect of which codes she inputs, and which obstacles are in the way.

Good educational gift
This was a gift for my niece (3)which she was happy with. The product was sold by Amazon at a good price compared to other sellers. The only issue I have with this product is that the educational age range does not match the market it appeals to. I believe my 5 year old son would benefit from playing with this and would enjoy it if he gave it a chance, unfortunately he would not give it a try as to him this is s baby toy.

Amazing Toy, but amazon supplied a non English product
Amazing product ought directly from Amazon. My nephew loves it, very well made, high quality but the packaging was not in English and we had to find an English manual online.

it's fun and it is a present for a small person ...
Yes, it's fun and it is a present for a small person who at 4-6 is learning to read. It does not help that the instructions are in French, German and Italian rather than English. Neither did it feel like a present as it required the child to sit and watch as an adult got the toy out of the packaging, let alone freeing the code-a-pillar from it's moorings - totally beyond the skill of that age group. Was worth the effort .
