The SKWOOSH Dragon Boat AGP Gel Pad is designed for competitive Dragon Boat paddlers. AGP Technology welds the Gel Packs where they are needed the most, directly under the weight bearing "sitz" bones, so serious racers can enjoy more comfortable and efficient paddling. The AGP Dragon Boat pad is approved by the IDBF, weighs 7 oz., is ½" thick and delivers great comfort without changing your CG or torso height. The Dragon Boat gel pad has a non-skid bottom, is absolutely waterproof and so light weight it floats. It features a built-in elastic carry loop so you can attach SKWOOSH directly to your favorite paddle for convenient, easy transport. The SKWOOSH Dragon Boat gel pad is made in the USA, is guaranteed for workmanship and performance and is certified for competition by the International Dragon Boat Federation.

The best I've used
I use mine for dragon boat racing and can only evaluate it for that purpose. In the 14 months or so that I've been doing dragon boat, I've tried three or different types of pads, looking for both comfort and grip. This is the best I've found. It doesn't look like much, but it provides a surprise amount of relief from the hard wood bench (and I'm 6-2, 215). This should be common sense, but the grippy side faces down and the pad faces forward as pictured.I will say that I'm the only paddler on my team who uses this type of pad. Everyone else has some version of a foam pad. I've used the foam pad with double lips from Burnwater that fits onto the seat securely. That's my second favorite, but I like this one better for longer workouts.

Provides relief!
After reading multiple reviews on the various seat pads I went with the Skwoosh. I wasn't thrilled about the price relative to the other brands but the reviews sold me. Initially I had difficulty, meaning it was difficult to align my rear on the gel pads since they're 4" in dia. and I couldn't tell where they were at when I sat. Also I had the dip, or gap towards the front. After turning the pad around so the gap was aligned with the dip in the back of the seat (DOH) things were much better. To be honest my butt still gets sore but I'm rowing for an hour at a pace of 23-24 strokes/min. and it isn't nearly as bad as before. As can be seen from the pictures the pad fits fine on a Concept2 rower and doesn't move around. If they made it with 6" dia. pads, or the whole thing gel it would be better in my opinion. Of course it would cost more but would be worth the price.

This has turned out to be a helpful seat cover as I alternate them every 30-40 minutes of rowing
It's a good product. I use my rowing machine for hours and like to change out the seat pads, seat covers, etc., every 30-40 minutes or so. This one is working better than most. I've bought some that I never use. I use this one.

Exactly as described; good quality!
When I opened the package, I wasn’t sure that this small pad would help at all! My first practice out in the water proved me wrong. I was surprised at how much this pad helped. Other than being sore from the drills, my butt felt fine. It stayed in place, and has a little loop for easier carrying!

Great comfort for training on Erg at gym!
Love the fit on the Erg seat, comfort on my Sits bones and great blue color! Only used it once so far, but looking forward to using it more. Bought it with intention of building cardio on Erg for my new passion and hobby of Dragon Boat Racing!

This skwoosh pad + padded bike shorts has saved me!
I am really enjoying Dragon Boat paddling, however after my first day of practice with no seat padding I could not sit for days because of the pain in my sitz bones! This skwoosh pad + wearing padded bike capri's and I now have no discomfort after practice! This pad is really thin, truly the 1/2" specified, but pressing the gel as directed it really does offer additional comfort for ones' sitz bones.
